    Ninja Scroll it is!

    Oh, God.

    I remember seeing that.
    "Don't think I wouldn't rape a dead girl."

    Fucking.

    Arrrrrrgh

All I remember about Ninja Scroll was this dude who threw spiders or something, and he gets cut completely in half and turns out he was full of spiders.

    I remember three things.

    The spider thing.

    That particular line.

And how one girl had skin that secreted poison that kills people who touch her.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

    Is Yesterday an isekai

Marty: The future, it's where you're going?
Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.

@Moriveth and I noticed something bizarre/funny in the second-to-last episode of MHA:

when they’re all standing together and listening to Principal Nezu’s speech, Kaminari is massaging Ojiro’s tail

Edit: Google tells me it’s a recurrent habit of his in the manga

    That’s cute

i'm pretty sure there's other instances of it in the anime too!

horikoshi has a great attention for little details like that, like how uraraka always holds things with her pinky extended to not activate her quirk, or how aoyama is always staring into the camera in group shots

I did like when Shigaraki confronts Deku at the mall, when he grabs his neck he leaves one finger off but very close to touching him.

Also someone needs to get Shigaraki some chapstick

Gah, imagine how careful people have to be with their quirks.

I did appreciate Mirio’s gruesome description of how he utilizes his quirk.

I don’t know how to feel about Mirio given that I was a huuuge fan of Tintin as a kid.

Now we gotta figure out what to watch now!

Well, actually, I know what we're gonna watch now, we're gonna finally watch Escaflowne. After that though... I guess we'll have to see.

    This season’s pretty stacked.

Right now my list of shows that have actually been good so far has Fire Force, Dr Stone, Vinland Saga, Astra Lost in Space, Cop Craft, and Granbelm, while also carrying over Demon Slayer and Fruits Basket from last season. If I’m in the mood for something kinda embarrassingly trashy but fun I’ll probably add Danmachi season 2 to that.

I dont think any of them are particularly great to watch with the kids though.

It is pretty stacked but So far first episodes of most of my 'watch' list have seriously unimpressed me.

I don't know what it is about space animes but they come off so much sillier no matter how interesting they sound.

Because Mob Psycho has really high production values along with its really good story and shows a lot of love for the product.

Whereas OPM S2 looked like a bog standard anime with a bog standard approach that only had the writing to carry it.

I'd suggest reading the manga and watching some of the anime that has more care put into them?

Hey, I don't watch Jojo or anything, but I saw a thing on youtube where some guys were dancing with a guy's head on a hook. There are lots of videos of the dance... but I would like to know what happened to the guy hanging from the hook. I have no interest in Jojo itself. Just the resolution of that particular scene.

one of the characters has a power to put a zipper on anything, and he can unzip it to take the thing apart. It seems like he can control whether the unzipped pieces behave as if they're still connected or not, so like say for instance if he unzipped a pipe he could make it so all the water falls out of it or that it just sort of teleport across the gap

after beating an enemy, he unzipped his head from his body to neutralize him without killing him, and then his friends started kicking the head around like a soccer ball to torture him for information. When that didn't work, they stabbed a fishing hook through his eyelid and strung him up facing the sun, with a pair of glasses to focus sunlight onto his eye that he couldn't close because of the hook. And then they decided to do a dance number because, y'know, why not

The guy still doesn't talk, and IIRC you just kinda don't see him after that scene. I think they mention later that they didn't kill him, but they just kind of move on to other things

IMO the most gruesome part of MHA is Seiji (meatball guy’s) quirk. It’s gross enough in cartoon format, it’s not even worth thinking about as a concept.

At least he’s currently only a student and hopefully won’t be seen again?

they're literally part of the mafia and their big dream for reforming the organization just boils down to getting out of the drug trade (but staying in the business of assassination, protection, theft, etc.)

Not really a difference between that and time reversal. It's basically Orihime's power from Bleach
