Ok, so I have an excel spreadsheet with a bunch of email addresses in a colum and rows.

I want to find every address that ends in a .edu and delete that row.

How the hell do I do this?

Excel Mac, BTW - but I can access Excel for Windows.

I think the formula should be the same for Mac or Windows.
Insert a new column to the right of the email addresses. In the first cell of that column, type
=RIGHT(A1,3) (where A1 is the first cell of the email address column). Select the entire column, and do Edit - Fill - Down to fill the entire column. Then select the whole spreadsheet and sort by the column you just created. All the "edu" addresses will be clumped together for easy deletion.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.

    Feral,

When I do this it says it creates a circular reference.. I wonder what I'm doing wrong.
