I honestly don't know how people queue into a BG with that little health and gear. As in, how they even want to. I'd be far too embarassed to do it. The other players might be strangers, but they aren't bots, I don't feel like I'd have any right to inflict my fresh alt on them like that.
I think that it's reasonable in an epic BG. If you're in there with 39 other people it's less of a concern - you can drive a vehicle in WG or try to cap flags in AV and still contribute meaningfully.

Yeah, it can't be remotely fun just running around being one shot and contributing nothing. I managed to get in an Eye of the Storm today where I got jumped by a Rogue, then noticed I was barely getting hurt and I saw he had ~75k health. Is that seriously a better way to gear up than just doing the World Quest/heroic ramp up?
Also, I finally queued into a Wintergrasp and got a 150 CP quest that was ridiculously easy to complete. Is that a weekly or just a one time? I saw AV has a 150 CP quest but it at least requires you to win.
And damn, when did Deepwind Gorge just get turned into Arathi Basin with a different layout?
When they realized nobody knows wtf to do in there. I never understood it myself, just ran around killing the enemy.
That pretty much applies to all BGs since everyone abandons nodes and road warriors anyway.
road warrior is not the worst idea if you're outnumbered during the battle.
Any time you can fight 1v2 or 1v3 for an extended period of time without dying, even if you're not winning the fight, it's a positive action since your team then outnumbers the rest of the enemy. Of course, half the time they don't manage to do anything with that, but that's life.

On the other hand, you'll likely never see any of the people in that BG again so who cares what they think? It's a natural consequence of cross-realm or supermassive populations
Did my first vision run with a Mask (Long Night, obviously). My plan was just to go for the Lost areas to try to unlock both Org masks in one run. But I was doing so well after the first Lost area I decided to just go for the full clear and succeeded! Got a 450 item with a Corruption, but since I'm me, it was the shitty Avoidance one.
Any recommendations on the easiest of the 3 masks to use (for a tank) to unlock the other masks in Stormwind next week?
I'd say Burned Bridge (leave void poop behind you), Dark Imagination (chance to spawn faceless below 50% sanity), and Pained (double madnesses per zone). Dark Imagination could screw you over if you're low and desperately eating/throwing down an orb, but you can just play it safe and they're pretty easy to kill.

The void pools behind you. I can't remember the name.
Burned Bridge it is! The other two must be Stormwind ones as I don't have them yet.

In all honesty, if you can do the Long Night it is likely the easiest. I had the same thing happen, expected to have issues with just unlocking the two Org ones, but I EASILY completed the whole thing.
It changes nothing about the run outside of shortening the time limit. But if you can tear through it then it makes the run near identical outside of the increased health and damage of mobs.

I don’t really agree. Burned Bridge basically had zero effect for me aside from the increased health and damage of mobs, whereas Long Night cuts the timer in half. The imaginary friend mask is also pretty much strictly easier than Long Night, since it doesn’t do anything but make mobs stronger while you’re over 50% sanity, and then you have another half of your sanity bar to burn through.

Even if you step in Burned Bridge goo some of the time, you'd have to step in quite a bit to be equivalent to the hundreds less sanity you have running Long Night over a 3 orb run.

Long Night is the single hardest mask, there's absolutely no competition. By virtue of its existence it does over 2000 Sanity damage to you in a 3 orb run, none of the others will even come close to that.
Stormwind is such a weird difficulty shift compared to Orgimmar. The mage quarter in particular is something else.
Stormwind feels way longer. The Mage Quarter alone basically feels as long as the Drag and the Rexxar wing combined, with more difficult bosses. And Alleria is a hell of a lot harder than Thrall.

Yup I was doing 1 mask runs in ogrimar easily but stormwind especially the mage quarter is a lot more questionable. It does not help that I am a warlock and more of the stormwind bosses have you must use a spell interupt thing for a class that lacks spell interrupts unless I waste time and switch to felhound and then back to felguard.

Hey at least you have the option. Try being balance with a 1 min cd interrupt.
Stormwind is just straight up terrible. It feels like tomb of sargeras but instead of soaking now it's unavoidable sanity damage and not being allowed to actually hit the bosses.

I had a bit of an epiphany regarding runs that don't use the 400% sanity damage mask: it's probably better to suck it up and take the 7 or however much sanity damage per second or so that Alleria can casually dish out by standing in crap than it is to try to play LOS and positioning games to try to get her to a safe place to attack from, at least at my skill level. Even if currently taking 70% of 6 Sanity damage per tick trying to get Alleria into position, it does eventually add up, and there's just so much crap everywhere that I take some standing in crap sanity damage anyways.

I still try to avoid the bomb fires since it's a continuous drain, but I stopped worrying about her purple arrow AoE attack when I noticed getting hit by it was only costing me like 20 sanity.
The Promised Power Madness might as well be a permanent 10% damage nerf in Stormwind if you're melee.

Holy crap Mythic Skitra is an absolute joke. It took us about 20 kills to get our first Mythic Wrathion kill, we killed Mythic Skitra on our second pull and without using prepots, lol.
yeah they tried to change skitra around so that people would actually have to do the mechanics, but it didn't really matter cause the mechanics are easy anyway
I think they thought finding the clone would be a lot harder for raids than it wound up being, though that's weird cause people were using the mark strategy even on the ptr
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat

Discord streaming is how we solved it, both tanks discord stream and watch each other's POV, since the tanks are the only two people guaranteed to be on different colours

The hounds CD I believe is 30-45 seconds so it works out to be basically the same once per fight now add to that dropping my dps down significantly by losing all the talents and stuff tied to felguard.

Edit: To be clear, I'm talking about people leaving a node to mindlessly fight red somewhere as a flag gets capped uncontested.

That feeling when you easily solo three-Mask Stormwind, and then realize that you forget to get the quest from Wrathion this week.
Apparently the Mage Quarter boss was nerfed to only do the running phase twice now?
Confirmed, he'll only teleport away twice now.

Also, having mobs get stuck in a wall and evade bug during a Vision is pretty cool.
Yup so now there is no reason to buy multiple keys that fill up your inventory just keep them as currency until you are ready to do runs.
same masks afaik
