Overall, lost on all the Torghast talk, is the new customization coming for all races, not just Humans. As an example, Tauren, that are the ones with fewer options, are getting 3 new fur tones and a lot of very cool body paints: https://youtu.be/pzM7fkm1Z_0

I'm sure there's practical reasons why it would be too much fussing with the code to do it, but I really wish they could set things like paint/tattoos as a separate option from face, skin color, etc, for all the races.
Edit: Nevermind, I should watch the whole video first, eh?

Uh....on the video it shows in the new UI (dude's just clicking through them) that they are separate options on their own tab completely independent from face and skin color. Hell, face and body tatoos are separate. Same on Dwarves and even on Legion Demon Hunter tattoos were separate.

That is like exactly what they seem to be doing.
There have been face shapes as an option so far (but didn't seem to change much) which was separate from the actual face.
Eyes are separate now. Blood Elves just got necklaces as separate from earrings.
So they are basically making a bunch of different categories for stuff that used to change based on one whole setting.
If they fill out the options (which so far a few races are showing they will, just not finished with everyone) then they will have actually kind of brought WoW into the present with character creation. Might not have the absurd levels of full out custom like a lot of eastern MMOs seem to have, but its still looking to be WAY better than it has been for 15 years.
Indeed. Those things matter. They matter a lot. Like, new players now see a vastly outdated leveling experience and character creation stuck in what, 2008? We are now in the biggest Fantasy boom since the Lord of the Rings trilogy was on theaters so it doesn't make sense for Blizz to just sit on their asses and let that chance slip away. Specially after BFA.

Ok. For the Covenants you get the Signature ability of the Covenant and the Class ability. Two issues:
Some abilities just don't work as well for some specs instead of others. Like Primordial Wave, it works great for Elemental and Restoration, but is bad for Enhancement because Enhancement doesn't work that way. That's not as bad of a deal since is fixable by making the abilities more spec specific. Is ok, is just alpha.
Venthyr teleport is pretty goddamn, ball bustingly, makes no sense to pick anything else no matter what, overshadows absolutely anything else, top tier ability on M+/Raids/Arenas OP. The sheer amount of skips that you can do on M+, the amount of Raid mechanics that you can dodge, the amount of set ups that you can do on Arenas, is just so good that it completely, utterly makes anything else irrelevant, to the point, that if it hits live like that, Venthyr will be a mandatory choice period. And that can't be fixed with numbers since is a goddamn teleport that gives near DH tier mobility to absolutely everybody that picks it. That's terrible, please change it to something else.
So in the past couple of months I have leveled a warrior, warlock, paladin and demon hunter to 120, to keep options open for what to level in Shadowlands. I've spent a bit of time transmog farming (still waiting for the main Judgment pieces to drop...). Not sure what to do with myself now. I might play a bit more seriously when the expansion is out but am not to concerned about endgame BfA so gearing up feels a bit pointless. I wouldn't mind having a shaman/monk/priest but from what I hear leveling in Shadowlands is going to be a vastly improved experience so am thinking maybe I should just wait until then.
I guess I'll just farm for mounts and transmogs. Maybe level some professions. Not really sure what else to put time into that will carry over into Shadowlands and I will actually get use out of.

I'm trying to get a L120 character of each class on both Horde and Alliance side.
But yeah, it's mostly transmog and mount farming for me too. I'm trying to give all of my characters a look unique to them.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.
There's a lot about Black Temple that never made sense to me. For example, on the outside/exterior of it is where the Illidari are doing their training. You don't really find Illidari inside the temple grounds. Also, why/how are there so many demons present when there is literally an army training right there whose sole purpose is the eradication of the burning legion?
Furthermore, I never really associated those concubines with Illidan. He seems too focused and too driven in his purpose of defeating the legion to be distracted by meaningless sex. Plus, you know, he's totally in love with Tyrande big time.

What, you never found the Tyrande costumes they had back there?

Some demons ally themselves with the Illidari. There's the priestess of pain types as part of your crew in the class hall for example, I just assume all the demons in the Black Temple are a similar deal.
And yeah, while Illidan probably didn't personally use the harem, they were there for someone's benefit.

“Please join the demon hunters today. We have a harem “
I have somewhat mixed feelings on the buyable corruption. On the one hand it is sorely needed because heavy loot RNG is not fun without failure protection, but on the other hand now it just feels kind of like enchanting/inscription with extra steps.

The Illidari demons either think Illidan was going to be the winning side, or have grievances with the Legion (exiled, avoiding death/imprisonment, passed over for the corner office, etc.)
In an upcoming Shadowlands Alpha build, Blood Elves and Void Elves will be receiving some new customization options that some of you may be interested in . We wanted to give you an early look at a few of these new options available to the two races, with the first being several shades of blue eyes to choose from.
Void Elf blue eyes on top, Blood Elf blue eyes on bottom
Additionally, Blood Elves will have the option to choose from a variety of new skin colors and Void Elves will inherit the skin color options that are available to Blood Elves. Here’s a glimpse of the potential characters that you can create with some of the new options.
Rest of the images are on the post.
Well, if they wanted to at least try to stop the Alliance decline, they had to give Alliance players something.
EDIT: The underwear is an alpha issue:
Don’t you worry, Void Elves will go back to wearing their darker underwear in the future.

Turnabout is fair play after EMFT was neutered, yes I'm still salty about it.
Then I looked up race popularity statistics and, yep, nailed it.

Have you been to the Black Temple in outlands?
Well, that's the place where Illidan is basically leading a cult with sex demons, so some things are unsurprising.
And if Xe'ra knows or cares about anything, is about consent.
(Sarcasm).
