Deadpool eats those freezer section chimichangas that you zap in the microwave. Which while they are ok and affordable... Really don't hold a candle to a real deal deep fried chimichanga from a good Mexican restaurant.
Anyway podcast thread, I'm watching the latest episode of decidedly-not-a-podcast Giant Bomb video series Crime Crew, and at one point early in the video it's nighttime in Dan's video and daytime for everyone else and I chuckled to myself "ah silly GTA Online".
Turns out that the sessions somehow got desynced and Dan's playing in a separate instance, which we discover at the end of the mission as Dan gets a Passed screen and everyone else failed.

Yeah, Abby wasn't very enthused by Youngblood at the very least, and while I really love her as a content person, I tend to have fairly different video game opinions from her on average
And yeah, Youngblood is exactly what you're gonna bring to it; I don't find after the first major level it is a particularly big tonal departure from the main games (unless you take BJ's grim poetic monologues totally seriously and ignore all the goofy shit I guess), it has similar world-building in the collectibles which I adore, and the 80s vibe is really fun
But if you're playing with a bot then you are not getting the real experience that this game is, which is yelling about dumb movie posters and bartending robots and throwing the horns at your friend after they just killed a Nazi you didn't see behind you and laughing together at some dumb grunt's journal they left behind
I must say I am surprised to hear Ben Pack describe bare titty anime fighting game Kill la Kill as one of the best looking videogames he's ever seen, it looks alright I guess

They are absolutely called chimichangas in California. I've never heard it called a fried burrito except to explain to gringos what a chimichanga is.

I never knew what a chimichanga actually was before today

I looked this up because I had never heard of it and the first image of the game was an upskirt shot of the Absolutely Still a Minor main character’s entire ass, so I think it’s pretty fucking gross actually

So Not Another D&D Podcast announced in their after show podcast that this first adventure is going to wrap up at around 100 episodes. Episode 71 will release this week, and they are weekly.
I'm both excited and sad. It's fun knowing that this is going to actually wrap up and there's a plan and its not just going to lumber on indefinitely but at the same time I've grown to love these characters and to know their story is going to wrap up in less than a year is going to be rough.
Dan - "I think I'm going to be thinking about this show for the rest of my life"
Bianca - "This was all stupid meaningless bullshit"
This was an unexpected turn in Panning the Stream.
Like if you don't want to engage with the medium maybe don't record a podcast until you actually want to talk about it. Like, bashing it or arguing about it is fine but just saying "what's the point this is stupid" is not fun to listen to.
*edit* To be fair, I was primed for this when she mentioned Ayn Rand as her go to existential philosopher.

I'm only halfway through Eva
But from my own understanding, and the takes I've heard from others, I think Dan and Bianca are both right

Oh I agree, but one side rejecting it entirely just isn't all that interesting as a podcast/discussion.

They're good and I ain't spending $12 for a meal at an authentic restaurant every day
I do too, I don't mean to throw shade on them. They cost a dollar and taste pretty good. Can't really argue against them.
But still a fresh one is a good experience I would not pass up just because of the association with a bad comic book character.

They're having a terrible season, so it's understandable
I loved em when I was in my 20s, but my metabolism has started to slow and I am now aware of the mysterious gremlins called "calories"
