Sorry folks, but I won't be able to attend, as I'll be student teaching in January.

Is your school not closed for MLK weekend? Come Friday-Monday

My school is closed MLK weekend but it wouldn't be prudent for me to attend (I'll be earning almost no income during my student teaching and I don't want any distractions during the entirety of it).

    Gotta be focused!

I think there is a candy store behind the mall. I will have to look it up.

It's in the mall, and it sells cereal box sized boxes of shit like Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids

It's just called like... Sugar, or something

One thing I usually do during PAX is that I get a cone at the creamery and go out on the little island in the river at the mall.

I still haven't been to that ramen place in two PAXes now because I couldn't afford the expense. This year though, I absolutely can and will be embarking on a culinary journey in San Antonio

I went to Margaritaville, but the food portions were too big. Chili's in the mall is actually pretty good.

What places have good desserts? Margaritaville has a key lime pie I might try.

http://belgiansweetsshop.com/ assuming they’re not overly crowded.

In general I try to avoid chain places when I’m on vacation because I have those at home.

I always go to Schilo's deli. I get a sandwich, a cup of pea soup, and a mug of their homemade root beer.

Unfortunately my constant shilling for them has been too successful. First couple years of PAX I could basically just walk in, but the last few times they've been packed and I had to wait outside in the cold for like half an hour. It made the soup all the better though. Definitely recommend calling ahead. Also get the grilled baby bok choy appetizer.

Alright, I bought my plane ticket and pass!

I'm combining a little bit of work in the trip and taking a certification test on Thursday, so Southtown drinks that night will either be a celebration or regret drinks
