McDonalds must know that I'm feeling miserable. Got a rare set of McDs coupons in the mail and they're advertising a buy one get one free McRib. Fuck it, my diet can bugger off today anyway and I want my shame and regret covered in bbq sauce and nuggets.

Sausage egg Mcmuffins and hash browns are my go-to fast food breakfast. Second would be BK with bacon croissanwiches with their tater tot-like hash browns.

Wendy's serving breakfast is a tragedy

Everywhere will be serving breakfast menu until 11am now and I hate fast for breakfast menus but sometimes wake up early and want lunch stuff before 11.

    They're 2 for $4.50 in SoCal.

They've got buy 1 get one for $1 on a few items right now too, which is ok.

And 2 McChicken biscuits/McGriddles for $3. Those are pretty solid tbh.

Man. That breakfast Baconator looks like a great way to ruin your day off right. I'm kind of sad that they didn't have that kind of thing back when I was young and dumb enough to have fast food breakfast at the end of the night.

the components of that sandwich add up to less than a dollar even if you're not buying at wholesale prices, which they are

the point of breakfast food is to be cheap, godDAMNIT

I found a thing on Twitter yesterday about rich people in the popular ski resorts in the us who build massive houses they occupy for two weeks a year but heat the roofs and driveway (!) all year round so as not to have to worry about snow accumulation. Among other issues. So compared to some, I think you're good.

    I saw this!

being alive is an infuriating nightmare!

I heard a report on NPR this morning about how most homes being built now are not being built to be sold, but to be rented.

Being alive is an infuriating nightmare indeed!
What's the difference between a house built to be sold and one to be rented?

If a home is built and I buy it from the bank, it belongs to me. I can do as I please with it and I have a mortgage and property taxes, but can eventually pay it off.

If someone is renting it anyone in a lower income bracket won't be able to buy a home because the rich are building, owning, and renting the homes forever as a source of continued income for them. I cannot make changes to the rented space most like and will never stop paying. For instance, the house I rent right now costs my wife and I $1375 a month. We know from getting a letter from the bank for the owners that they had us scan and email them that the mortgage on the house is only $700 a month.

I'd eat fast food burgers three times a day if it wouldn't give my diabetes scurvy. The worst fast food burger I ever had was at the A&W across the interstate from the Texas Motor Speedway, and even that one was merely okay.

    Fast food burgers are beautiful.

I did notice that they were 2 for $4.50 in Cali. I stopped at Barstow a few days ago and got 2 of them. It's still a lot better than $5 for one.

I wonder if they might have a copy write on McMuffin, and any other chain that tries to sell breakfast in a muffin gets a visit from an army of McLawyers.

I remember when my partner explained to me that the McDonald's breakfast platter just deconstructs a McMuffin down to scrambled eggs, with a sausage patty on a tray and buttered english muffin with choice of pb or jam. But they'll charge you $4 for it instead of $3.

I have never bought one of those breakfast platters since.

It's awkward to see people I worked with in other jobs. Some of them know about the raw deal I had to deal with at Walmart so they point out to their co workers this is the guy I told you about which makes it even more awkward
Still part of me is curious what was said since it seems it was not vile distain.

I made browned butter brownies from the Bon Appetit recipe. Replaced the walnuts with hazelnuts.

Ate half the pan last night and finishing it off tonight.

    So decadent
