I'm like halfway through the video right now and Keith is pretty positive on Wendy's menu on the whole, especially the chicken sandwiches, further affirming that Wendy's is top-tier fast food.
"The McDonald’s french fry is unbelievable. When you bite into it, you think: It’s so tasty, it can’t be real. As soon as it gets cold, it turns to lard and flubble. I mean, have you ever tried to eat a McDonald’s french fry that’s gone cold? That’s one of the circles of hell. The gulf between the warm, fresh, lightly salted McDonald’s french fry and the cold McDonald’s french fry is as great a gulf as any I know."
no fast food place in the US has fries that are anywhere near as good as McDonald's in my experience
Blakes here has very good fries
But I have been to truck stops that had excellent fries like the Sapp Bro's outside of Cheyenne [also home of the best chicken fried steak I ever had}
Checkers and Arby's have fries that put McDonald's to shame
Burger Kings fries are terrible hot or cold
Now my brother claims when BK redid their fries a few years ago they spiced them? or something to work with ketchup which imparted a certain flavor but this had stopped sometime that holiday season after.
I have only had checker's as the grocery bag so I have no idea. I have not been to Arby's in years so I don't know.
As I have said Wendy's near me is horrible about their fries as 90% of the time they are old they taste like they sat there for hours. I don't know why they do this as when we go it's at off hours [like old man dinners or very late lunch} McD's are ok. But as I said the fries you would get at Sapp bro's or when Cloud 9 was open were by in large the best fries I have had. Blakes here is a 2nd

Arby's fries are trying too hard, imo. I always get mozz sticks instead
I found a thing on Twitter yesterday about rich people in the popular ski resorts in the us who build massive houses they occupy for two weeks a year but heat the roofs and driveway (!) all year round so as not to have to worry about snow accumulation. Among other issues. So compared to some, I think you're good.
I saw this!
being alive is an infuriating nightmare!
I heard a report on NPR this morning about how most homes being built now are not being built to be sold, but to be rented.
Being alive is an infuriating nightmare indeed!
What's the difference between a house built to be sold and one to be rented?
If a home is built and I buy it from the bank, it belongs to me. I can do as I please with it and I have a mortgage and property taxes, but can eventually pay it off.
If someone is renting it anyone in a lower income bracket won't be able to buy a home because the rich are building, owning, and renting the homes forever as a source of continued income for them. I cannot make changes to the rented space most like and will never stop paying. For instance, the house I rent right now costs my wife and I $1375 a month. We know from getting a letter from the bank for the owners that they had us scan and email them that the mortgage on the house is only $700 a month.
Ah, so it was a metaphor.
I thought someone was saying that there was a physical difference between the two, so I was confused.

I honestly don't know why people like McDonalds fries as much as they do. I think everyone must have a different fry metric to me. McDonalds fries tastes like hot salt. I like my fries to taste like potatoes.
Also Kieth what the fuck man, Wendy's Nuggets, the plain ones, are like the best, most flavourful nuggets in the fast food I have access to. They taste fucking awesome. They're also super cheap. Wendy's Nuggets own.

Oh yeah, absolutely separate metrics. Hot salt describes like 60% of my favorite foods and if a fry tastes like a potato I spit it out and return it as underdone.

When KFC had nuggets, they were the best ones around. They were definitely around in the 80s to early 90s. Maybe into 2000? Then they got replaced by "chicken fries", which has since disappeared from the menu because I guess everyone just prefers popcorn chicken?
I can still vaguely recall the kfc nugget taste and I wish I could have them again.

My wife is making a pumpkin pie for Canadian Thanksgiving tomorrow and she made too much crust so I bought a can of cherry filling and she's making me my very own little cherry pie I'm so excited.
BK fries are meh, but on the plus side they have fry sauce.
As I said they spice or rub or whatever the fries to work with that sauce and ketchup [my brother said at the local one the under use the salt/rub thing for some reason}

I believe most were talking about McDonald's fries as being top end for chain fast food - which they are. But of course they don't hold a candle to a place that does properly fresh cut double-fried fries, or anything remotely similar.

There's this little gyro shop in the mall in Cheyenne that has the best fries on earth, hands down. So crispy and delicious.

Most of the time when I have them here they're warm and appropriately crispy and flavourful and basically on par with Mcdonalds fries.
Blakes here has very good fries

I am hugely fascinated by this.
Pls to be giving more data
Burger Kings fries are terrible hot or cold
More places need to use sea salt like Wendy's does for their fries

I have had Mc'D's in Japan but I do not consider that something to compare as my first time there was awkward and confusing
I like the curly fries but those are in a separate category from standard fries

Yeah it's been a long time since I had McDonald's fries, but I would describe them as... edible.
The best fries (chips, really) are the thick-cut ones from a good fish-and-chip shop.
