When you grew up, what was, roughly, the success rate of your classes in elementary, middle and high school? More or less?
This is really hard for me to judge. I’m not sure how many kids dropped out, and classes are stratified in some schools so if you do well you get moved up to “gifted” or moved down.

I'm asking because of something a guy said on Twitter about how school grades are a competition, which made 0 sense to me because when i was in school, pretty much everyone would at least pass until College.
So I guess if the success rate is that low, it would make sense to see school grades as a sort of zero sum game / competition as opposed to seeing it like a cooperative affair.
