Oh boy, I just said 'mobile' and 'games' in the same sentence. BRACE YOURSELVES EVERYONE. MY SUPERIORS ARE COMING TO TELL ME HOW DUMB I AM FOR LIKING MOBILE GAMES.
List here your favourite mobile games. Any genres you want.
I will try out EVERY SINGLE ONE of them.
I'm going to then use this list to make some recommendations for people on this forum as well as some other forums as to which mobile games to play.
There are 3 rules:
1, The game must be free to install.
2. You're only allowed to recommend a maximum of 3. If you recommend more than 3 I'll only play the first 3 on your list.
3. Please also mention what genre the game is next to each game you post.
E.g. [GAME NAME] [GENRE]
If you have not mentioned the genre next to the game name, I will not play the game.
Bare in mind that it's always good to take a look at what other people have posted as I will only play a game once.
Let the recommendations begin!

I mean, I would hope not.
That would be against this forum's rules.
But yeah, I agree with the guy on the other forum.
Pokemon Go.
I imagine some of the other threads in here would also be for (other) mobile games, but I wouldn't be able to pick them.

When you say "Chrono Trigger flavor" you should clarify that it's pretty much Chrono Trigger redux. Not quite as charming but still quite good.
And that's all ok since a lot of the original team behind Chrono Trigger are present for this.

Tough to describe but this game is really good once you get a few runs in and figure out the systems a bit.
Polytopia- strategy
A quicker, more accessible version of Civilization. Has online multiplayer.

I'm not even going to attempt to describe this.
Final Fantasy Record Keeper (Gacha RPG)- I play a lot of gacha games and this is my favorite and an easy one to recommend. The ATB system works well for mobile, not being too slow while not requiring fine control. The 2D art is great and seeing the deresolution of the post SNES final fantasy stuff is a nice touch. The music is obviously pretty great too. The gacha element is there but is still pretty FtP safe: Charecters are unlocked in game but gacha gives the best weapons and can teach your heroes new limit breaks. They are pretty generous with the currencies though, especially starting out. The power progression has a lot of distance but also a lot of breath, it encourages use of a lot of different heroes since the different realms give different buffs. Lots to do and think about in creating parties tailored to specific fights.
For another RPG-ish turn based game, I've been playing Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes daily for the passed 8-ish months? I wanted something else to play on my phone besides Hearthstone. There's a dedicated thread here in G&T that is helpful too, but the game is a lot of fun. It's just very grind-y once it stops unlocking new features (basically when you hit 85), and the money grabbing is very real. I'm only about $15 into it over my time playing and I don't' think I'll spend another dime on it because of how ridiculous some of the prices are. I do have fun with it, and it's neat having a collection of familiar Star Wars toons from all over the Galaxy working together or fighting against each other.
