    The Irishman features:

    - a three and a half hour runtime
    - three lead actors, one that has very rarely worked in the last 20 years and the other two have been mostly horrible in that same period
    - a $200 million budget
    - a plot hinging on digital de-aging technology featuring extremely famous actors who we all know what their younger faces are supposed to look like

    I'm starting to think Scorsese is a double agent

    Spielberg put him up to this, it's a plot to tear Netflix down from the inside

    If movies are like organisms, then this movie is a galloping horse that evolved directly from the hideous prehistoric proto-fish that was Funny Games

    It shares way too much DNA to be coincidence, but it...I dunno...elevates so much that the comparison actually feels pretty superficial.

    I'm gonna be thinking about it for a while for sure. What a fantastic movie!

    Happy to see Olivia Cook out there, killing it as usual. RIP Anton Yelchin, of course. I miss him every day.
