I'm curious about Luigi's Mansion 3 on the basis of only ever playing LM1 once waaaaaay back on Christmas Day 2001, but I 100%ed that game on the very first day because it was short.
3 seems like a meatier game, but I do think I'd wait to see if it gets discounted some months down the road (also because it's wedged between Outer Worlds, Afterparty, and Pokemon).

Dark moon is considerably longer and 3 seems to be following its lead in that regard

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
I'd have thought it would be a no-brainer to throw the first Luigi's Mansion up on the digital store ahead of the release. Maybe timed so that people aren't mansion'd out when the new one drops, but still.
I loved Luigi's Mansion 1 way back when, did not like Dark Moon, but I am looking forward to the third one since it seems like a return to form and also traditional controllers

It's on 3DS so that is very unlikely

Yeah it has a 3ds remake

Playing Astral Chain now. I would be playing on Casual as the default but I need to be playing on PT Normal in order to be ranked so I can unlock various achievements for Fashion Souls, which is really the true goal of any game with swappable gear. Still getting the hang of the controls and sometimes the Legion does not move how I want it to which makes things interesting when trying to do things like Chain Jump.
Up to File 3 now, I'll play more tomorrow.
Do you have the flick movement skill equipped on your Legion? I forget its name, but it makes the Legion charge in a direction when you hold L2 and flick the right stick. I found that it's way too sensitive on what it considers to be a flick, and often had my Legion going way the hell away from a platform when I'm chain jumping. I unequipped that and it solved all my movement problems.

There was a sequel on the 3DS, I am not aware of a remake

Haven't gotten far enough to unlock abilities on the Legion. Was mostly just trying to maneuver it onto the platforms when you learn how to chain jump. Kept pushing the stick to move it above the platform and it just wanted to circle it instead

A quick tap of L2 will either send it straight ahead or call it back, useful for setting up jumps.

Yes the original Luigi's mansion got a 3ds port about a year ago

Wait they made a "new" 3DS game in 2018?
...why?

Return of the Obra Dinn is out on Switch now. I was going to pick it up but then I remembered Katamari Damacy Reroll is on sale for a few more days so I scooped that up instead. It's great!

Dark moon was meatier but also blander so I'm glad that it seems like 3 is keeping the increased length and depth while dialing up the charm and variety similar to the first one.
also man that sounds like i'm talking about dicks.
Aw yeah, I got Ring Fit Adventure. I can’t wait until I’m strong enough to crush that bodybuilding dragon between my powerful thighs.
I picked it up today as well. I’m looking forward to giving it a go, but need to figure out a decent setup for it.
Garry: I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!
I think the main thing for me is the upscaling and not having to deal with which device is frontlit or which is backlit and sure I can play my GBA games on my DS for the better screen but then I’m either running a bad aspect ratio to fill the screen or I’m running it kinda small on the screen. Or I started replaying Link’s Awakening on GBC when the remake was announced and boy it’s no wonder they sold lights to clamp onto these things cause I can’t see a thing unless I sit under a desk lamp.
I used to have one of these way back in the day. Worked pretty good too. Before that I remember the many evenings sitting under a lamp in the living room. The magnifier was a nice bonus too.
Ring Fit Adventure is shockingly intense on the higher difficulty settings! I've been doing mostly weightlifting for a while so I was expecting the cardio to do me in a bit, which it did, but I was surprised at how much the silly tension ring does a solid job of forcing you to really work at it if it knows you're already pretty strong. Also legit works to make me want to keep playing with the magic of leveling up. I crapped out at the first boss fight and I want to try again tomorrow!
Update, I suck at Astral Chain combat but I haven't died yet. Just got to File 4 and wondering what new thing they're going to shove in next.
Yeah, I really wanted to like the combat in Astral Chain, but there was so much shit going on that I never felt like I ever had as good a grasp on it than I had with, say, Bayonetta or Revengeance

I used to pretend that thing was a welding mask for my Gameboy
at the place I work at that deals in used games/collectibles/etc we had one of these bad boys not too long ago
this thing is actually worth money, I think we sold it for like 70$? radioshack put it out, apparently its pretty rare now
