I used to - back before streaming when you had to watch the openings.
But I don't think I've ever not-skipped an anime's opening in about... oh, at least a decade now.
What the heck’s the point of anime without a good op?

I still get chills from Odd Future hitting the “I KEEP MY IDEALS WITH ME” as All-Might powers up United States of smash

Speaking of Love is War, someone made a map for Killing Floor 2 that you can get on the Steam workshop called "kf-chika"
It has giant screens everywhere playing the Chika dance, and the map's soundtrack is that song.

If you don't watch the opening how will you get extra pumped when it starts playing during the climactic battle?

Since there aren't a whole lot of shows I care about this season, I decided to pick Hunter x Hunter back up again. I left off right at the start of the Greed Island arc.
It sure is weird that this an arc that just decides, "You know, it'd be cool to just turn this show into Yu-Gi-Oh Online for a bit."

Holy shit I love this fancy blonde girl who follows Gon and Killua around
Her entire reason for joining them is that she can sense they're really powerful but they're too goddamn stupid to use their different shounen power-ups properly so she's gotta teach them to be smart for once.

Biscuit is the best character in the show.

I want the show I was promised in the Fire Force OP instead of what we got.

I also really did not like the Greed Island plot but holy crap the arc after is fucking amazing

I do too, but Fire Force makes me worry, and I remember some quite questionable moments later on. Nothing I recall being framed as horribly as the Tamaki stuff in episode 9 of Fire Force, but it’s still a worry.
Still, there’s some great stuff in those last arcs. I’m a bit conflicted.
Did...Did that opening introduce like 15 characters?
Yep, and it didn't even introduce everyone. In fact, one of the more important characters briefly appears in the intro but isn't named. Though there are a couple of characters that are named that don't end up being that important.

Baccano is amazing and you should watch it. The dub actually has time period-accurate localized accents. The first episode is a bit tough because the story is 4 stories taking place over a couple years being told in parallel and it's great.
The D&D thread back in the day was kinda hilarious because only like 3 people watched it as it was airing, and then every three months or so someone would discover it and gush over it and everyone who had watched it would just exclaim "I KNOW, right?"
And then the DVDs came out and had three extra episodes and everyone exploded.
The big selling point of baccano is starting with this big mess of characters and then waiting to see how they all collide
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

You also know certain characters are gonna live through certain events because they show up during the events that happen later and you start to wonder
But how
Edit: they also introduce you to Ladd in a way that makes you go “HOW THE FUCK”

Yes. Here's an opening for another show (Durarara!!, aka DRRR!!) based on a different light novel series by the same author... that actually takes place in the same setting as Baccano!

One of the best OPs ever is the one where they fuck up the ending of it in Gintama.

You know, as much as I like the trope of the OP song playing during a hype as fuck moment, i’ll be damned if I can think of ny examples off the top of my head

I still have a soft spot for the op for Durarara x2

Gurren Lagann is the one that immediately comes to mind, during the moment where Simon snaps out of his funk.

I just started episode 65, and I'll say that, outside of Biscuit being totally amazing, this arc has been...very boring so far.
I think Greed Island is mostly dull, but there's one section of it later on that is just incredible

Man, I really wish that show was better than it actually was
Especially the second season OP, I listened to that thing for like two years straight.
Only version of the actual OP I could find was potato quality on dailymotion, so just have the preview music video instead.
