I'm pretty sure there is no healthy romantic relationship in Durarara.
...come to think of it, probably not. I can't really defend Shinra and Celty, but I think it helps that Celty has a lot of control in the relationship, and frequently puts Shinra back in check when he steps out of line(which is often).
Let's be fair, there is one healthy relationship: Kida and his girlfriend... so obviously they leave the spotlight, because normal relatiosnhips are boooriiiiiiing /s

Celty straight up says "Even if Shinra wanted to leave I wouldn't let him"
I started rewatching Kyousougiga because I remembered it being really hard to follow. I don't know why I thought that after nearly finishing it. It has all made sense so far.
Maybe it was because I was watching it as it released each week and I didn't fully remember the previous episodes.
It's amazing how bingwatching a show changes my overall experience of it. Like, RWBY for instance I tend to rag on for the really slow pace of its writing/plot development, but when I get to watch the seasons in "movie" form in itunes, suddenly it flows so much better. Waiting that 1-week gap between short episodes really highlights the story's problems that somehow are lessened when the episodes are happening back to back.
RWBY definitely benefits from being able to watch it all in one sitting but I've still never been able to really like that series.

Honestly if it wasn't the sheer pull the worldcrafting this show has on me I would have ditched it, but the idea of finding eldritch abominations with magic powered gunsword combi weapons tickles all the right parts in my lizard brain. Especially when fanartists create some damn impressive interpretations of the characters too.
cumlord is an entirely normal dog name for a good boy
what could be odd about a dog named cumlord
oh noo i think there's been a big misunderstanding he's called cumlord because he looks like a cumulus cloud anyways here he is performing an orb ritual
I've been watching some "Get in the Robot" and this is a great dive into Anime in Latin America... What's so great is how on the nose it is about the "Bad dubs and censorship" in the U.S. It was the anime companies themselves that were demanding the cuts from the show in order to get it on TV by any means possible.

Thanks for sharing! I grew up watching tons of anime dubbed in spanish, including of course Saint Seiya, so this was an interesting watch.
Should have mentioned Captain Tsubasa, or Super Campeones though, which was also huge back in the day.
I kinda knew that Saint Seiya was popular in Spanish during my tape trading days (How's that for an old skool anime fan)... It was *constantly* posted in trade listings with (sub)(es) after the title. Candy Candy was another. I can see Captain Tsubasa was popular there as well, as the NES game was translated into Spanish before it was put into English.
okay let’s stop posting videos and talk about anime again, I just binged Astra lost in space, it was “okay”
Yeah, that was my impression from the first two episodes I watched before I dropped it. I admit I am a little curious as to why a large portion of the anime community proclaimed Astra as the best anime of the summer season, but the way the world was structured and the general shtick of the characters reminded me of the episodic cartoons you'd find on WB and the like back in the 90s. Which isn't really what I'm looking for nowadays.

It was a decent enough manga, if somewhat predictable

This is basically hunter × hunter but its serious about the last part
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

Ah, was it any good? I've got the black one that came with a collector's dvd set, but it's rather immobile and doesn't transform.
My recollection is that it was merely okay and was also like $200.

Wud yoo laek to lern aboot meatz? Look here!
I want a season 3 so bad but at the same time it ends on a really satisfying note and I dont know if they can maintain perfection for much longer
... Goddamnit.
The manga's still going pretty strong. It's had some powerful stories past the anime. They could easily do a worthwhile season 3.
.
What the fuck?
It immediately comes to mind whenever I see Escaflowne + dismay.
oh no, theres also a P5 haru nendroid that got announced for preorder

No no, you've got it all wrong, this degenerate goddess is very useful.

That fight between Gon and Hisoka was very horny.
I did not care for those moments.
Otherwise it was a pretty awesome fight.

Yeah.
That’s hisoka.
Every fuckin time.
To be fair, Sailor Stars can't be used as an example, since it was never brought to the US(arguably a blessing, it would have been butchered).
Leorio is the best
Killua is way less of an edgelord than I thought he would be
Kurapika is way more of an edgelord than I thought he would be
I am far more interested in Leorio's Very Dramatic Pre-Med Experience than I am in Phantom Troupe Dead Clan Revenge Whatever
Its cyberpunk as fuck
