Well, not even Gon is entirely free from screen time loss.

I wish the story had followed Leorio instead of Gon. Or even had more focus on Kurapika.
Basically anyone but Gon.
And the greed island arc is so....just, bad and boring but it introduces one of the best characters in the series and has exactly one good mini-arc in it.
And then after that is the arc that is the reason to watch HxH!
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

I dunno, the manga arc that focus on Kurapika is the most boring, self-indulgent part of the entire series. Whenever he's around the place slows to a crawl as he obsesses over possibilities and outcomes.

Are you talking about
The spiders or the boat arc?

curious if they're going to pull any of the music from that album where hayashida just straight up commissioned a bunch of artists she liked to do a soundtrack for dorohedoro

Boat arc, the bane of all mangas
Except One Piece

Ah, yeah
It introduces Nen Stands....but also when someone first showed my a page from that arc it nearly turned me off the whole series because it was an entire page of WORDSWORDSWORDSWORDSWORDSWORDSWORDS to the point where you could barely see the head of who was talking

I'm not even through the first arc and I can already tell this will be awful
The idea of a Kurapika arc sounds as appealing as watching an infomercial
And not one of the fun ones where they're cooking stuff, but one for like

Since it's spooky time, what's some good horror anime?
GeGeGe no Kitaro is a Sunday morning shonen series based on Japanese folklore but it occasionally throws outs stuff like the ghost train(ep7) that is pretty fucked up.
Boy I just realized funimation making their own streaming service has really cut crunchyroll's legs out from under it in terms of having any shit worth watching

I was just reflecting on what I've watched in the last year and a half or so and realized how little A tier stuff CR gets to license anymore. I think the only show I watched there in that time I thought was good was Mob Psycho 100 season 2, and then I also watch One Piece out of some kind of masochistic boredom occasionally. Other than that I just keep going back to check the site each week out of sheer habit.
If they don't manage to get rights for Dragon Ball Super 2 or whatever it'll be called I wonder if it'll just die?
Been thinking about The Big O since it's turning 20 in 2 days, and is there an earlier example of a western studio/media outlet working with a Japanese studio to produce more seasons or major content like Cartoon Network did with Sunrise for The Big O season 2?
I can't think of anything like that offhand, at least not before The Big O.

i got steve blum to sign my ancient season 1 and 2 boxed sets when he was at a small local con that they barely advertised years ago. he had no line whatsoever so my buddy and I just bummed around with him for the better part of the afternoon

Unfortunately he suffers from Tien Syndrome and rarely ever shows up past a certain part

I mean the cast progresses to using Nen and fighting bad guys who are like infinitely powerful catastrophic world ending threats
And Leorio is like.... a doctor

Are you talking about
Yeah he was never in it to be anything but a doctor. Im sure hea a weird hunter doctor now but hes not a fighter.
better than i was expecting. kinda wished it was even grimier though
also huh, hayashida q drew a variant cover for some ant man spinoff thing
Except One Piece
Ah, yeah
That is
Immensely disappointing

Fancy space age towels
Serial Experiments Lain is pretty terrifying, actually.
The trick is to just watch one or two episodes at a time instead of trying to binge it.

he shows back up later and does a thing that literally everybody agrees is very awesome
when he fights the spiders it gets rad
I like Gon in spite of him being a fucking dolt-ass motherfucker
Recent stuff? The Promised Neverland, honestly.

I was about to say it’s just horror themed in the usual Castlevania manner, and then I remembered the way it shows those nightly demon attacks.
it just hit me after years of reading this series
those are her fuckin earlobes
Yamishibai is a good anthology series of Japanese horror stories.
And she used one to stab Mineta in the eye
Eh. it's not that wierd. Once youve seen people walking around with huge ass gauge ear loops, its kinda believable that silliness.
I think the art is really good but whyyyy you gotta CG me like this.

Not entirely, but yeah Balkanization sucks.
