At work tonight I slipped on something- juice, a crushed grape?- and fell heavily. Bloodied my knee, and it’s bruised and stiff. Gonna ice and elevate it. Maybe have to do a worker’s compensation thing. Imagining already that’s going to be an enormous pain in the ass, me vs hateful corporation.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
It extremely tickles me that he didn't even consider it something worth mentioning in the first tweet
Just a perfectly ordinary little kid crush

Minor setback in that he probably was never a real person

Having put 9 hours into Astral Chain: I'd say the story is interesting enough. It's a post-apolyptic game with some dystopian vibes, but the game isn't really interested in exploring any of that. It just wants to give you enough reason to care about the people you talk to regularly, and give you cool fighting stuff. It's definitely completely uninterested in diving into anything beyond where I expect the plot to be going, which is relatively fantastical.
It's a very ambitious combat system. I'm not sure how well you can do everything it gives you, but you can do enough, and it's got enough difficulty adjustments you can make to not feel super frustrating ever.
