I don't know why Netflix is wasting money on Seinfeld when they can fund more original series that run for 1 or 2 seasons then get canceled before I ever hear about them.
also "what's that name" if we're gonna bring up mulaney sketches

You know what they say. "It's an honor just to be nominated, immediately exposed on the national stage as a human garbage fire, and then disqualified and blacklisted before the actual awards ceremony."

There are great sketches every year out of SNL. I'll watch them on YouTube after the fact.
The average sketch is not good enough for me to ever bother watching the whole show though.
There was a period of time where The Daily Show seemed to supplant SNL for being a comedian springboard, but that time has passed and SNL is king again for that.
I really don't care about Seinfeld. I liked it a lot when it was on but when I go back to watch it now... Just doesn't do much for me.
Seinfeld is nice to have on in the background or something and every once in a while you recognize an actor who later became famous and you're like "wow!" but it's not really a draw to Netflix or anything. Although I do feel like Netflix dropped the ball on my binge rotation shows a while back - they lost Bob's Burgers, Always Sunny, 30 Rock, Futurama... and probably other stuff that I watch on Hulu now. Maybe they decided they wanted to get some of that back instead of putting all their eggs in the original content basket.
I have been watching through ER for the first time and I’m in like season 10 now and I swear absolutely everyone has been on this show. It’s insane.
Dennis from always sunny is like a main character! Sally Field is in it! It’s crazy.
River Song in her actor persona Alex Kingston! The guy from the Orville Scott grimes!
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

I also like the first skit with The Rock and Cecily Strong as Gemma, they keep trying to bring it back with other hosts, but The Rock really made that shit work

Like as big as any other Network TV thing, its videos routinely get millions of views and headlines and it has steady ratings

That one Adam Driver sketch
Uhhhh
David S Pumpkins?
There's gotta be something else, right?
MacGruber, for example.
I would posit that The Lonely Island stuff being so popular and getting multiple movies made is a large part of what got Brooklyn 99 greenlit.
Bill Hader's got Barry, that show is fantastic.

Beg pardon?
and these genius pieces from Julio Torres
(the latter also co-written by new not-shitty cast member Bowen Yang)
steve bannon, yes that steve bannon, gets residuals from Seinfeld
it's from his days as an executive producer
it's kinda perfectly designed for every type of viewer you could have
"Everything is for you! And this one thing is for him!"
This one definitely goes places.
