He's doing this with Sterlin Harjo, a native dude from Oklahoma who mostly makes movies about native folks from Oklahoma
What a great partnership, goddang
So glad to hear this - the one thing that gave me pause was "surely there should be an American indigenous voice at the front?"
really looking forward to this now.
Between Reservation Dogs and Rutherford Falls, 2020 is gonna see two shows about contemporary natives, co-created and executive-produced by native people.
What a fucking time to be alive. There have been years that haven't seen two native people staff writing.
Also - I can virtually guarantee that Reservation Dogs was originally pitched as Rez Dogs, but executives got nervous that people might not know what rez dogs are, and/or might not know that Rez is short for Reservation. But anyway, yeah, people don't say "Reservation dogs," they say "rez dogs." Or maybe they're going for a play off Reservoir Dogs? Eh, whatever.
As far as I know, there has only ever been one show set in central Oregon, and it was somehow a Japanese show from the 80s about a kid driving a logging truck called Oregon Karai Ai, or "From Oregon, With Love"
Yeah I also assumed that was it, but I also didn't know that a rez dog was a thing, so I might not be the target audience here
I came very close to taking home a rez dog once. It had quite a scam going in the supermarket car park, targeting tourists for food (which it would then share with another, slightly less cute dog).
Anyway I guess it figured I was a soft touch and jumped up to beg at my open car window, and looked so woeful and pitiful that I was extremely tempted.

Also shows like Last Week Tonight and Dailyshow and Full Frontal show that you can do news and entertainment without sacrificing your morals.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
So the Dragon Prince offices sound like they're a pretty rough place to work if you're a woman. Or rather, the person in charge makes them unpleasant. Not sure how pervasive it is beyond him.

They get the B-Roll footage of the mall, the white house, the capitol, the jefferson and the lincoln and then go shoot in Vancouver or LA or wherever.
Hot stuff.
One of them has Jason Momoa!

Same for Seattle.
it's absolutely surreal to watch
I've decided Regular Show is the perfect show. It was made directly for me.

I recall that episode being... surprisingly creepy for such a silly concept

I really enjoy it!
I'm in the second season and this is still probably my favorite moment in the show.
This reminds me
"Laserdisc" is the coolest name for a video format, right
Like Blu-Ray is fine, but I'd be way more psyched to buy HD Laserdisc or whatever
oh I should buy these for my wife, she fuckin' loves Hallmark movies

They're smart buggers.
If a happening sequel isn't 90% awkward line reads and stupid deaths then what's the point
