I periodically pull an obscure word out of the dark recesses of my mind and seamlessly use it in a sentence, only realizing afterwards that it's not a normal word. This often prompts me to Google it and make sure it actually means what I think it means, which usually comes back as "eh, close enough."

I don't ever use it, and I guess looking it up, that's the uncommon way to spell it. But it's my go-to for favorite words. Because it's so rarely used.

How else are you supposed to describe a perfect sponge cake?
All of the other words meaning "containing some moisture but not enough to be wet" are even worse, cake-wise
