According to the Metal Gear wiki that was all apparently a reference to the comedy Twins where Arnold got all the 'good' genes and Danny DeVito was left with all the 'shitty' genes.
Oh was it a translation issue?
Also Metal gear is good but I don’t wanna fight about it.
I thought the story was that Kojima was like "Yeah, I know that's not how genes work, but Liquid doesn't"
I think the most likely story is that Kojima didn't know when he wrote it, later learned he was wrong, and passed it off as Liquid's misunderstanding
Functionally, for the plot, Liquid is just required to feel that he is inferior to Snake to motivate his rivalry, and the rest is just scrambling to justify some iffy writing

Listening to that FF14 version of WotW:
Yoko Taro should make a third Nier

Yeah like, it was absolutely Kojima's understanding because the post-credit scene has the "twist" that Snake had the 'recessive' genes and Liquid had the 'dominant' ones.
But the important thing for the story is just Liquid's chip on his shoulder, not that he was the 'better' clone who was beaten by the 'inferior' one.

I'm now in the unfortunate position of being incredibly interested in Death Stranding mechanically after listening to both the Beastcast and Waypoint episodes on it, but knowing that it won't be implemented to my liking and also be dumped in the middle of a horseshit story.
So if someone makes a better version of that concept please @ me
I think a lot of Metal Gear is an age thing. I was in my early 20s when a friend of mine showed me the end of MGS 1, starting with the Liquid fight. And I was like “Wow! This is fuckin’ bad, man.”
A couple of things for context.
How old was the game then, and was it the Twin Snakes version or not?
But also like, that fight is only super memorable after the context of the entire preceding game.
The original, probably 99 or 2000.
After Metal Gear Scanlon I am positive that no amount of context is going to make me enjoy listening to Kojima characters talk.

Let me rephrase it then:
Square should give Yoko Taro a ton of money and let him make another Nier.
I would willingly sacrifice 7 Remake to make it happen.

The shit that Kojima is doing with his writing is often comically blunt, overwritten, and at times absurd and thus difficult to take seriously
That being said I wouldn't call it bad, especially considering some of the ideas he’s tackling are pretty big for video games (cultural genocide, mutually assured destruction, the military industrial complex and capitalism’s role in war, information and propaganda in the digital age and the loss of self, etc etc etc) and that he addresses them without flinching and with some success is proof of a certain level of craft
Kojima has his flaws which are almost universally related to his female characters (he’s written like two good ones and one exits the story pretty quick) but the rest of the complaints about his writing often lead to the same reviews someone like Wes Anderson gets: “who could like this shit?”
And I get it, I really do, but at the same time, it’s me, I’m the guy who likes that shit, feed me more doped up symbolism and metaphor, mmm delicious

I don't know if Yoko Taro will make another Nier game.
But I think it's pretty safe to say he'll get to make something. Automata sold better than anyone expected and Square seems to get that he brings a valuable appeal to their lineup of games even when they don't sell amazingly.
Blank Check's Miyazaki series is over as of today, but there's a bonus episode on the Kingdom of Dreams and Madness coming this Thursday before they start up Jonathan Demme next week
Yoko Taro, speaking of his success with Nier Automata, has said that he would like his next several games to be bad, because making a good game is a lot more work.
I think there is distinction to be made between a well written story and something you can have fun with
This is actually incorrect your personal enjoyment is the only metric of quality, for this reason a compilation of Tom Savini head explosions is better than literally any other thing
Liquid was actually mad that he thought Solid's pants looked cooler than his. The subtitles just got it wrong. He was ranting about jeans this whole time.

Nier's main composer is Keiichi Okabe, Taro is the writer and director

What? I thought it was just the two versions of Nier and Automata, totalling three
Depends on whether or not you include the Drakengard games.
Nier Gestalt/Replicant is essentially the same game. Just with the protagonist's appearance and relation to Yohna changed.
But yes we're way past three Niers cause there's the stage play, and a light novel, and a radio thing?
And the FF14 crossover stuff is apparently canon.
The original, probably 99 or 2000.

I'm gonna say Just Dance x RPG

That game is ass-heavy but I wouldn’t consider it all about asses
Spite?
It's also about very sad robots!
