but the whole point of the book is that the X-Men have changed since then, new leadership, new world, new mission statement.
Agreed. I'd say X-Force is definitely worth a read and better than I thought it was going to be.
But Young X-Men...my god. Kirk's Weekly Crisis reviews of the first two issues are pretty much exactly how I feel. The dialogue hurts my brain (why my computer telling me I just spelled dialogue wrong?) and the characters seemed pretty butchered at this point. I was especially disappointed with Dust's appearance. I miss New X-Men.

New mission statement: Our moral leadership is made of pure fail.
Plus Wolverine is still in character in the book, he absolutley does not like being saddled with the team. He says he'll do whatever dirty work Scott wants but he wants to leave the others out of it.
So Wolverine is Scott's bitch now?
I won't continue harping on this book, obviously it's just not for me.
Wolverine understands the necessity of the mission.. he just wants to handle it himself, but X-23 and Warpath are even more gung ho about this than Scott is.
I just looked at his wiki entry, and it seems to me that he ought to have a wider range of abilities than flight, strength, and concussive blasts. Is that really all that solar energy is good for?
I could be very wrong but it just seemed to me that blowing up the SWORD station was an easy way to shuffle it out of continuity.
But it does makes sense that once the heroes reach victory in Secret Invasion that SWORD take precedence in the Marvel Universe to protect from future invasion. Sort of disappointed it didn't show up in WWH.
well I think between the 3 issues so far we've seen a total of what maybe 4 hrs or more and of that I think its only be an hour or so since everything went down and the station was destroyed.

She's kind of stuck in space and running out of air right now.
He'll have to pull some major strings to get her out of this one.

I am pretty sure Brand and SWORD are sticking around after the Invasion

the fact that the Skrulls decided it was something that needed to be dealt with immediatley gives it legitamacy I think.
I am hoping that Brand gets to kick some ass because I do like her.
She was glorious in Giant-Sized Astonishing.
thats what I think
Wait, she's an alien? Damnit, I missed that...that's what I get for just reading stuff online instead of reading the physical comics.
Nova and/or the Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be tieing into Secret Invasion too right?
I can see one of them rescueing the people stuck in space while they are on their way to earth.

It's like the Fat Father Syndrome.
Except it's the Blue Furry Monster Father Syndrome.
