So I watched the first Jurrasic Park the other night. I've seen it before but a very very long time ago so apart from the famous parts most of it was basically new to me.
It really struck me how much the news ones suck in comparison.
It's about halfway through the first film before you see a T rex. The entire first half is building up to this and it's amazing!
Jemaine Clement as Wadsworth
Jameela Jamil as Ms. Scarlet
Nick Offerman as Col. Mustard
Allison Brie as Mrs. White
Bill Hader as Professor Plum
Catherine O'Hara as Mrs. Peacock
Billy Eichner as Mr. Green
Katrina Bowden as Yvette
Harry Styles as Mr. Boddy
Lady Gaga as the Singing Telegram Girl
You know it might not be the most intuitive casting but Kevin James has a certain undervalued white man energy that I think would translate really well into him as the Joker
Clue remake where Werner Herzog plays himself, making a documentary about Mr. Boddy, that turns into a documentary about the experiences of those at the Boddy Manor when Mr. Boddy is discovered to have been murdered.
You get him participating as a character and also have his detached narration VO
So today a little film came out to VOD. A little film called Bliss. Never heard of it until I found out it came out today, and I just finished watching it. And...for me it's my Surprise Of The Year
The best way I can think to describe in a sentence is "if Gaspar Noe made Mandy, but 1) more fun, 2) with more drugs, 3) with vampires, 4) with art, and 5) it's only 80 minutes and paced perfectly smoothly instead of...like Mandy"
There's this drug called Bliss. Dora Madison plays Dezzy, a struggling artist in LA who's down on her luck and needing to find motivation to work on her new piece that's close to deadline. She goes to a party with friends, and one in particular decides to introduce her to Bliss
Frequent dances with strobe lights ensue. Frequent blackouts ensue. Frequent cravings for blood ensue, and each time she (unknowingly at first, then reluctantly) acts on the thirst, she does more and more of the painting
Dora does an incredible performance throughout, two scenes in particular stand out as must-sees, one of which is her going on a rampage giving in to a blood craving, and the other is the final contribution to the painting where she basically pays homage in dance form to That Scene in Possession (the Isabelle Adjani film)
I fucking loved this all so much. If you aren't affected by flashing lights, gore, or curse words (because there's a lot of each), and if you have a spare 80 minutes and spare money on iTunes or Amazon, I absolutely recommend this
Either my memory of that book has been significant degraded or they took some considerable liberties with the plot. A lot of the book is about teaching the gorilla sign language.

Yeah but they were just teaching the gorilla to sign "DTF"

Wait, is it an actual remake or just a second adaptation?
I'm not opposed to either for any work, but they're extremely different things in my mind
I would at least be tentatively interested in a new adaptation
My vote would probably be Kevin James
nicolas cage joker, tom cruise joker, paul giamatti joker, etc etc
write this movie and get it optioned by herzog
Every character played by Werner Herzog

...You're going to have to be more specific
Gamertag: PrimusD | Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
It’s Jason Isaacs
-Indiana Solo, runner of blades
Edit: wait, was he in Harry Potter? I’ve just realised I’ve only seen Jason isaacs in like three things, even though he somehow seems ubiquitous
I'll take a guess and say you've never seen The Patriot?
I have not, no.
Edit: there’s also a non-zero chance I’m mixing him up with Robson Green.
oh my god he was so evil just for the sake of it
also yeah malfoy's dad, I think?
What a shame
