It's fine if you found a film boring, but to counter everyone saying a film is enjoyable by saying it's boring is about as deep a criticism as saying you found it pretentious.
Which is to say that in casual conversation that's fine, but in a discussion people are going to ask you to elaborate on that.
I would love to go into detail about why I find Temple of doom boring but in order to do that I would have to make it through the entirety of the movie without getting distracted doing literally anything else.

So you’re saying you can’t really comment?

Beyond saying that I find it profoundly boring? Yes.
I mean, you found the intro boring. The rest of the film? Who knows!
(I totally don’t mean you need to watch it, but that determination is preeeeetty unofficial without having watched all of it, you know?)
Oh no you are not understanding I have seen every single part of this movie at least a few times but I zone out. I find every single part of that movie completely in capable of keeping my interest.
I find movies in general to be less boring after I take a break from them after a while
Right now I'm watching illegal youtube clips of all the movies I'll never watch, and right now all movies are just barely interesting enough to serve as background noise when doing chores or eating
I think I first watched Temple of Doom when I was 10 years old and only watched like 5 movies a year. I think it was about a month afterward that I could find it boring enough not to have a sleep disorder
Marty: The future, it's where you're going? Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.

Well shit, ignore me! I thought you only ever saw the beginning, and I’m being all snarky based on that. If you’ve seen most/all of it in parts and don’t care for it, no big deal. Judging a film by its intro just makes no sense, so... yeah, forget what I was all about.

If I’m being completely honest I don’t think I really enjoy any of the Indiana Jones movies as much as most people do and I’ve given them a lot of chances because they are so beloved that I just assume I must be missing something. I think Raiders and the last Crusade are fun enough but probably won’t ever watch them by choice.
To be fair, the only one I truly think lives up to its reputation is Raiders. Temple is problematic but solid on a technical level; Crusade buys fully into its own bullshit, so to speak, and I loathe it for that. And I have yet to see Crystal Skull, but based on some of the shit I saw in the trailer? Yeah, I’m good.
I really like Temple of Doom! It's weird and goofy and like a live action Loony Tunes cartoon for the most part and it still just does something for me.
I just watched one of the action scenes from Temple of Doom last night, and at one point he's fighting someone in the background of Indy fighting someone, and they're unknowingly mirroring each other's moves
It's very cute, and I'm still mad that when they thought to introduce Indy's son there was no mention of Short Round
I feel like any movie is immune to being called “boring” if it has that mine cart sequence. That shit was wild in the theater.
One exciting sequence doesnt make a movie not boring!
Michael Bay is your proof
But JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson prove the opposite. As you can have tons of exciting sequences and have nothing to do with the movie or cause other problems
But because it un-tags him so he doesn’t get a ton of notifications
Okay, on re-reading, I should have known that 'they' is preferred over 'it', because, yeah, it's pretty insulting otherwise so I want to apologize for that. I'm sorry and also more than a little ashamed I didn't already know that.
Additionally, that raises a question - when you meet a forumer IRL do you refer to that individual by their PA Handle or their name? I did a bunch of PAX Easts in a row and it was mostly handles?

Like if you want to drill into things that make a film either, hell yeah, I'm into it, but also those surface observations are both equally fine
I basically haven't seen it because I last saw it as a small child and remember almost nothing

Well I think we could really drill down on this and figure out why you feel this way

No I just wanted to do a funny about trying to get a debate out of a post saying not every opinion is an invitation to debate

Look man if you don't want to engage or elaborate that's fine but I don't understand why you'd even bother posting if you didn't want to talk about it
(okay cool great this is a good bit)
It is very good, actually, if you're into that sort of thing.
It is also very much a style of humor that is not for everyone.

It has the most abrupt rap up of any movie I have ever seen
I knew exactly what this was gonna be

It is so weird seeing Anthony Hopkins play charming and suave after years of either seeing him bored or creepy
But JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson prove the opposite. As you can have tons of exciting sequences and have nothing to do with the movie or cause other problems
