I got to the final round of my first game and got a connection error before we could finish, which was a fucking bummer!!! I was having a great time before that!
Hyperlight Drifter is very pretty but absolutely no fun to play.
I really enjoyed the exploration and combat
like it gets a little difficult at bits, and the map is more of a vague suggestion than an accurate marker, but i find the game flowed together really nicely for me, probably my favorite game of 2016
Well this Children of Morta seems like a fun little charmer, I wonder how I missed it for so long, is it going to turn to garbage or something at some point

no it's pretty decent throughout
the back half requires a bit more grinding as things get more difficult and you have to swap characters more frequently
and the story is pretty much exactly what you'd expect if you played the first few hours, but they do some nice vignettes with the family

So I've only played a little bit but the combat feels fiddly yet uninspiring. The challenge so far consists of throwing lots and lots of enemies at you at once. Positioning seems important but it's really hard to judge where you are relative to enemies attacks. It seems rather chaotic.
And then in the exploration I got to a bit with sliding crushing blocks and repeatedly got squashed by them when I was no where close. In fact at one point a block, whilst it was withdrawing caught me and ended up pushing me through a wall into the next area which would be an awesome speedrun technique but not great for general play.

Crosscode update: I know it's a basic-ass video game trick, but it's so satisfying when you get a new element that demolishes previously annoying enemies. Looking at you, moths.

Hexcells infinite got a nice update today, adding MUCH better puzzle generation on a harder difficulty, as well as user created maps, and a ton of other fixes.
There's not a lot of writing in Risk of Rain 1 or 2 but there are bits I do like I must say
You are trying your best to survive. You consider yourself a fast learner. You have been feeling lucky. You have been experiencing feelings of deja vu. If you understand, do not read the next paragraph.
You are taking control of your own beliefs. You feel familiar in unfamiliar environments. You have been gaining an intuition for experiences you've never had. You ponder a past life. If you understand, do not read the next paragraph.
You find yourself searching for things that never have been. You miss things you have never had. You play characters that have never lived. You have been experiencing feelings of deja vu. If you understand, do not read the next paragraph.
You have revealed my hand. Because you have consumed this information, the [observers] will now consume it in time. If you are reading this paragraph, I will be long dead, but in turn you have freed me. I will no longer exist in my universe. There will be no proof that I ever was - but I exist now in yours. I have escaped my suffering. Keep me safe. I hope you do not understand.

Beat the Shock temple in Crosscode without hints I am a puzzle god.
But really that was great, boss fight was intense too.

If they ever make a sequel, they should call it Retitled Goose Game
Titled Goose Game
Ungamed Goose

Which dude? The guy leaving or the head of the studio?

mike z did yes
Man, Skull Girls continues to be the most cursed game in the world.
Skull Girls is technically run by a separate company at this point, not Lab Zero. Indivisible however is still tied to Lab Zero, afaik.
