I can hold many sets of drones in my domi. But yes it is a bit annoying.
Yeah, Domi's are a bit different. The smaller ships are where it becomes a real problem. The ones where you use 3/2 drone loadouts because of a small drone bay to maximize DPS, like the Vexor, or even the Typhoon which uses a single set of heavies for some of it's ratting DPS. A lot of people get around it and really enjoy drone ships, it just annoys me, so I prefer flying ships less dependent on drones.

I've become too much of a whore for ECM drones anymore to fly with a single max-DPS flight, fleets being the exception... you should give them a shot if you haven't already, little bastards are mean.
should I save/train up for the Rupture, which I hear is apparently like one of the best cruisers in the game?
The two great cruisers for Minmatar are the Stabber and the Rupture. Train Cruiser to 3, not solely for the Rupture, but for better performance out of the other cruisers. L3 is a good sweet spot for many skills.
The Stabber makes a nice super-Rifter for PVP tackling.
Drones: I also always fly with a flight of Light ECM drones. Too handy, and they don't take cap or a midslot. They are what a 25-40m3 drone bay was designed for.
No. Drones make me lag and are a stupid concept, much like pets in other MMOs, and I hate them forever.
That being said, Gallente is probably the best pure race for training all ship classes.
Yeah, Gallente or Minmatar really do have great ships all around. And since Minmatar requires so much extra training because of weird ass split layouts, gallente is way easier on a new player.
Yeah, I have a 25mil SP Minmatar combat character and he is pretty awesome. I have a 20mil SP Gallente combat character and he is also very awesome. You can go either way and be pretty satisfied with the general quality of the ships, but training up Gallente is much easier. Though it is probably only second to Minmatar in difficulty.
I'm thinking of trying Gallente again just because of the fuckawesome new ship graphics. Well, that, and your descriptions.
also, on the frigates and the like...Rifter fucking owns. Just my two cents.
Also, as another rambling, I think I may have seen the most obvious "gold farmers" ever.
Basically, a bunch of carriers surrounded by drones occupying several asteroid belts in a system. They all had really similar (and incredibly stupid) names.

Then again, you'd think farmers would use lowsec.
Where the fuck did you see this, because I'd like to kill a bunch of carriers.

Caldari controlled 0.7 space. Wish I remembered the zone, since my current description is pretty far from specific.
Leave the starting systems early, outfit mining beams only, get cargo expansions and mine the most expensive ore you can get your greedy little fingers on.
This will lead you far away from secure zones of course into PvP areas. Still, early ships are cheap and even if you will fly a lot till you can refine gneiss or something similar it will get you the first ships in notime all the way to cruisers. You will be shot at sometimes of course, insurance is your friend ^^
Most of the time you will be ignored tho. Being considered to small to make a noticable dent even in heavily guarded rich ore systems they will not harm you in most cases. Just do not pick their containers. Or pick their containers and get the hell out of there ^^
Sometimes you will get money for no reason from them, sometimes they play target practice and somethimes they do both *g*
When you got your cruiser its time for some team action. Either farming low-sec pirates and salvage (salvaging nets a huge ammout of money since the resources are needed to make rigs) or team mining.
If you go for combat get a kinetic hardener for your shield and maybe also thermal/explosive. Shields weakspot is kinetic and armor has a problem with EM. Get a shield booster asap so you can transfer your energy to the shields in case you need it. A big one. And as much shield extenders as you can fit.
Amarr are all about lasers
Caldari are about missiles (and they have some nice low-level cruisers capable of holding numerous launchers, the drake for exampe)
Gallente are all about drones, if you wanna play carrier - thats your choice
Minmatar are all about kinetic weaponery
Getting a grasp of economics is extremely important, as well as getting a understanding about ship setups.
You should especially be aware of warpcore jamming and how to counter it.
Just go to hosh, seriously that whole pipe to cva space is like an armed camp, hard to believe how safe it is considering the early days there. Just don't go to kheram, even though it's nowhere near as busy as it used to be.
I mean, once you see the macro haulers everywhere and chinese isk farmers ratting in ravens on gates, you know you're not in the rough part of town anymore.

Then they are some old farmers, as you havent been able to build carriers in high sec for a long time. and you can use cyno-gens in .5 or higher

I know of a pirate corp that has been known to gatecamp with a couple of dreads.
I could park a scout there and form an empire gang for comedy's sake.
Actually, the pipe from Amarr to Hosh has become increasingly dangerous lately. B.E. (Black Empire?) has been camping it practically daily and most of CVA is either too lazy or too busy with UK and the like to do anything about it. Though in reality they mostly just try and throw bubbles up in R3 on the Misaba gate, so you're probably fine. Going through Yong is safer, the guys who used to camp it like snodgey, never seem to log in anymore.

I wonder if Burn Eden is the BE. If it is, welp, good luck stopping them. its like a corp full of blackops guys
Is ratting really a terrible way to make moneyz? (Still in Frigate). I did a 10 mission chain today and ended up with 700k in profits(got a second Kestrel which I flew to some sec to sell for 200k ;d). Of course I have no idea what to do now that I can pew pew missiles.

Neither. Some faggo corp that doesn't ever leave their lowsec chokepoint. I'm probably going to put a scout there now because it'd be faster to podjump to a market hub, fit out a ship, and kill their dreads than it would be to form a regular old cockfagging gang. With bonus pubbie tears.
according to the description of the event Sesfan has given, i dont think it will be happening again. The titan should have alligned before doomdsaying, then, DD'd when he was being attacked, which would clear all the bubbles. Then you warp and cloak.

Yeah, it's just like with the mothership kill on Helen. We caught a ridiculously confident pilot who had minimal support, it won't happen again. Seriously, they only had one mothership out of 10 online at the time, no other titans. Molle was too full of himself to care.
edit: I lose 8 ships (including 3 pods) tonight. Including a battleship :P

And yeah, every ship has its uses. Hell, the drake is the best BC in terms of shooting stations/poses, I'd bet. (maybe myrm still though).

BECAUSE TODAY IS YOUR LUCKY DAY
FEW MINUTES LATER
SHRIKE IS DOWN, REPEAT, TITAN DESTROYED
Que Star Wars celebration music
I was calling on TS for frigates to mwd at him, bump him, then die and bump him with their pods, as that was what I was doing
also, have any vid? My comp mysteriously lost its win32 system file today.
WANG fucks BoB ITT
I love you guys.
Taken the moment I first laid eyes on the ill-fated contraption.
Nice kill
EDIT: Also, Shrike's dead Titan corpse is now my background. It will be photoshopped to look like a wood grain painting shortly.

You should definitely post that.
Also, tear up a little.
