Finished the storyline of Crown Tundra, but I still have the Max Lair to pull all the legendaries and UBs out of and I still need to find the Swords of Justice via their footprints... and then that's all until my niece catches the last two she needs on her side of the pair- Regidrago and Glastrier. With a full set of Regis, that'll unlock Regigigas on both our games, too.
keldeo is super easy to get as well. not sure how anyone would think to make curry by the old campsite in the tundra while the swordsmen are in your party though. i wonder if there are any other secret kind of things with the gravestones scattered around the island

i hope the next vgc season rebans all the legendaries, or at least bans the most used ones like they did with season 6. so many people are using the same few pokemon.

VGC operates on a set schedule, IIRC. Year 1 is regional dex, Year 2 is national dex w/ non-box legendaries, Year 3 is everything but you're only allowed two box legends in your 6. Then it cycles.

Usually yeah, though they've been doing shorter "series" this gen with different rules. Guess they also did something similar at the end of last gen with Sun series, Ultra series, etc.
Like Enigmedic said, we just had Series 6 which banned popular pokemon like Incineroar, Dragapult, Tyranitar, etc. Doesn't seem unlikely that they'll do something like that again
Think it's partly due to covid and no in-person tournaments, to shake things up a bit
Jumping into Max raid fights when they flash across the Y comm to farm armorite ores for digging pa jumped into an Onix raid and it was shiny. Was weird though because it froze for a long time before we could start fighting
If you’re looking at difficulty, I’d say Cobalion and Articuno are the hardest ones to catch this gen. Both appear in snowy areas that steadily plink them to death, so you essentially have a time limit.
But yeah, been steadily draining the Max Lair of legends. Pulled out Yveltal, Landorus, and both Latias and Latios. Hoping for some fun ones, but wish we got access to some mythical Pokémon besides Keldeo.

yeah both my sons were annoyed trying to get articuno, then they just ended up having something that could drop sunny day so they had six turns to do it, then repeat the processess as needed.
Question about the new DLC- is this supposed to be post-game content, or would it slot into a new playthrough?
It's been a LONG time since I've picked the game up, and I think I'd like to do a new playthrough, but if the DLC is all balanced for post-game I might just hop in from my old save.

I expect theres another battle pass coming for those and Arceus. Probably the remaining pokemon as well

Mostly post-game, I'd say
Like you can go to Isle of Armor and start the questline and grab Kubfu early in the game, but I don't think you can finish the IoA questline until after you've beaten the base game
Regidrago and Regieleki captured. Going to port them to my game and do a trial Regigigas run.
Also, apparently Keldeo is unlockable if you catch the Swords, too.
I think only the mew, the mew likes, meltan, that new monkey and Zerora arent in the tundra
Keldeo is the only mythical you can obtain in Crown Tundra, I'm pretty sure
Is he a mythical? I never considered him one since he was the same gen as Victini
You can have more than one mythical per generation. Gen V had 4 of them: Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect. The only actual requirement is that they don't count towards pokedex completion.
I am a glutton for punishment so I've been trying to get a shiny Zygarde to show up in the dynamax adventure. I have come to conclusion that nobody pays attention to what type the end boss is gonna be. Ground? Boy, better make sure I keep a weak poison type until the bitter end!
Also, can you change Zygarde's ability with things like Trouble Seed/Entrainment? I've been meaning to try but haven't run into any of the rentals that have those moves.

pretty sure the moves fail if you try to change zygarde's. i would never try to shiny hunt zygarde. it took like 20 tries to catch one the first time.
Its a pretty bland shiny
I quite like the shiny actually. The white/green color scheme is just so nice. I know I'll probably never use it in battle, but I find the shiny hunt to be pretty fun.

Nope, there's no way to suppress Power Construct.
Ah, well, that's good to know. Best way to deal with Zygarde I've found so far is just buffing attack stats and then nuking it from above 50% health to fainted before it can even transform...but most of the time teammates aren't as coodinated as that.
I think these dynamax adventures are the only time I've ever wanted to have voice chat in a Pokemon game.
Half of isle of armor is cut off by water so you can't really do all of it until you have the Water bike.
It's still worth it to start it just to get Honey's onlyfans up and running and getting access to the Cram-o-matic and Digger pa using the Cram-o-matic you can basically just print infinite money by feeding it Cheri berries x 4 for a TR worth 3000 and a lady right outside the Dojo sells the cheri berries for 80 a pop it's silly and not exactly the fastest money maker but it's easy and available almost immediately.
Also Isle of armor is absolutely lousy with shiny spots full of tons of great juicy helpful goodies.
I feel you on the Pokemon Go thing. I want that Melmetal so bad but i don't even have a pokemon go =/
The rollout of the feature is starting with level 40 accounts, but will go to all accounts later. Most feature rollouts in GO are limited like this, where either only high level players or players in a certain region get a feature first, and then the feature goes live for everyone else later.

It generally goes fairly quickly, assuming there aren't any problems. They're already down to level 38.

There's really no reason not to get Pokemon Go. It's easy, it's fun, it's a good source of Pokemon for Home. Unless you think smartphone games are filthy, of course.
pokemon go ate up my cell data pretty quick when it first came out, and me and my wife arent going to double our phone bill just to get unlimited, when we barely use our like 5g a month on our phones. unless theyve changed the game so you can play it easier from home on wifi then that would be why i dont play it.

That's weird, it doesn't really boost my cell data much at all. In fact it uses less data than Twitter, web browsing, and Facebook according to my current data use, and I play it quite a bit. At any rate, they have made it easier to play from home -- with the pandemic there's now daily gift items, daily pokemon, etc.
I have nothing against smart phone games i just don't have a phone to play them on is all.
I dont have anything against cell phone games beside the obvious dislike of the money sink ones but Go is not fun for me in anyway. Also theres inexplicable weekly limits on free transfers to home unless you pay.

Keldeo was apparently never available except through event distributions, at least according to Bulbapedia.

This guy made it to Masterball tier with a self-built team focused around Heracross, with zero legendaries

You get a fancy crown, fifty Rare Candies, and three Gold Bottlecaps for completing it, though.

Thats not to bad. Seems like they could give you 99 candies but eh.
Do Gold caps drop anywhere?
