I made my first song as a dedicated to the play, "The Moon Is Beautiful For Tonight, Isn't It?"* This is a music video that portrays the theme song "Daydream".
〈Summary of play〉
Six years ago, Iroha Fujiwara (Kuni Toyokawa) got involved in a car accident while she was driving, killing both of her parents and leaving her with prosopagnosia (an inability to recognize faces). The story unfolds in a daihitsu-ya** that Iroha runs.
Stumbling and wavering, Iroha sincerely faces her customers' sentiments with all different problems and backgrounds. Ann (Masahiro Yoshikawa) the employee, Yui (Rika Fusemi) Iroha's asistant, Kotoha (Hazuki Oohashi) Iroha's sister, and Katou (Keigo Narita) the police officer in charge of the accident all support Iroha and the shop.
Nevertheless, behind the shadows of the peaceful days, Iroha keeps on blaming herself about the accident. For taking her parents from her sister. For continuously accusing the woman who hit them in the "letters" Iroha regularly sent. And that the woman actually committed suicide one year later.
As if to worsen the situation, she starts to receive letters from "someone with an unrecognizable face". The letters contain poems by the woman, which turned out to be her suicide notes. But, in fact, there's one other person who was involved in the accident that day...
Like I think pewdiepie is definitely at the very least antisemitic
But Yukio Mishima is a critically acclaimed and internationally loved author and was considered for the nobel prize in literature three times, and is also recognized as a trailblazing queer writer.
He also had terrible politics, which everyone knows.
But like just quoting some bits from wikipedia as proof that Mishima = fascism is just kind of embarrassingly ignorant. If more of pewdiepie's vulnerable young readers read "Confessions of a Mask" then... good?
None of this happens in a vacuum, context is important. And this author recommendation is not the only message his viewers are getting from him. Indoctrination happens by degrees and ignoring those degrees is ignoring the entire process.

You're arguing a different thing. It's entirely plausible PDP picked the book because he thinks it's hilarious that the author wrote a play called My Friend Hitler. But if you're using the recommendation and the Wikipedia page as evidence that PDP is bad, then you're saying that it's always wrong to recommend Snow Spring, which is what Kana disagrees with.

I'm saying that someone who constantly low-drips Nazi shit recommending a good book with Nazi associations is worse than someone who doesn't constantly low-drip Nazi shit recommending a good book with Nazi associations.
It's definitely one of those things that maybe this one particular thing is a bit shady but can be explained and is potentially harmless, but if you look at the timeline there's really no mistaking the motivations behind each individual act.
Yeah, but the principle is actually pretty cool. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's super expensive and those bulbs are killer, but if you were to make something like this with real lasers, you could do it fairly cheaply (nowadays) and have a nice effect.

Rammstein got me hella yelled at in high school. I ordered both Reich & Sexy best-of albums on eBay, without seeing what the album art was. And the package got damaged en route, so my mom went to our tiny rural post office and had to sign for two CDs just covered in tits while I was at school.
And I couldn't even really claim that the music wasn't that bad, because I had no idea what the fuck they were singing about. Could have been tits and the devil the whole time, who knew?
Anyway, she threw away my CDs and I never got to listen to them, and I was out like twenty bucks for nothing.

can't imagine there'd be much of a story here but let's see where this goes
edit: oh
I don't remember what it was called but there was a two-part, extremely detailed breakdown of so many of the myriad ways that the Silent Hill HD Collection was fucked up. It was like two hours of just meticulously documenting all the ways big and small that the collection is absolutely atrocious, not just in destroying the atmosphere of the original games, but fucking over fans and voice actors alike and possibly even violating union rules? Also all the ways that the studio that did the "remaster" lied about it all.
You may only vaguely remember Athene as that annoying WoW streamer with an item named after him in League of Legends, but now he's running an abusive cult https://youtu.be/EgNXJQ88lfk
So that sucks
So, does he dodge the fact that a game he praises (Borderlands 3) is made by a studio (Gearbox) run by an individual who personifies many of the aspects of the game industry Jim claims to despise (Randy Pitchford)?
I'm curious how he squares that particular circle.

Basically, the game is good, it's just such a pity Randy Pitchford sucks.
Also, Focus Home's studios produce that good jank, but Focus Home itself doesn't treat those studios right.

I was honestly surprised that anyone from that era of youtube was both still a thing but sheesh halfway though and this interview section is really something, so much double talk and bluster from him. Like you could probably get the full bingo card of handwaves with this guy, everything from "it's just a prank bro!" to "I'm not even really in charge"

Jim has many videos in which he shares his opinion of Randy Pitchford (he's not a fan).

He also states in the video that he did not expect Gearbox to do a game that wasn't microtransaction oriented.

The last four minutes or so of that video are him listing the caveats for all the companies he mentioned. Randy's bullshit, 2K's bullshit, Focus' problems as a publisher, etc.

Man, this whole thing is just a bummer
And they "lost" the voice over recordings from SH3? That sucks, the original Heather was really good!

Using Cristal (amongst other ingredients) to make Orange Chicken
It's not mentioned in the video, but I'm pretty sure that's the HD "remaster" that redid a sign and used Comic Sans on the new version.
