If you ran the King Rain step-up up to step 3, you'll be getting a ticket for a 5* unit. Turns out the guaranteed unit should have been from the new, trimmed pool of rainbows. Good on Gumi for giving the appropriate compensation.
Wow, they really reduced the NRG cost of story events. Pretty much all of the higher level stages are 30 NRG instead of 45, 55, 65, 75, 85 or whatever it was for older ones. I guess it's back to the shrine farm since there's no new content to tackle.
Well, I guess I should go back and get the SSB bosses done now that I have a strong DPS. King Rain and Elena BFF! I tested their LB's and they perfect chain together.
Man, two Godreas melt the Scorn of the Lich. Six turns and then hello new Longinus, let me introduce you to the Item World.
I still need to beat that. If she works that well, I should probably do it while there are still Godreas in my friend list. What set up did you use?
I have my Godrea set up in Event 2. I can make sure she is all set with the appropriate undead killers. She has a lot of innate undead killers, so that part is easy.
My Folka is only six star, but that was enough. I used Sacred Shield Charlotte instead of Rain, and her resists were not nearly where the guide's were. I think Fire and Lighting were like 110, Ice was 150 and Dark was 100ish. She took damage but not enough to really matter. I forgot to put a death resist thing on Wilhelm, so he died in the first phase, but re-raise got him. Apparently the kill move in phases 2 and 3 is unreaistable anyway, so re-raise was the way to go regardless. I used Wilhelm's ATK/DEF buff at some point, but I'm not sure how much good it really did. He was set up for 100% passive provoke, so he mainly just hit the Lich with a light weapon. Charlotte alternated between AoE magic cover and her defensive buff. Folka's break resist/status resist buffs last five turns, so she was pretty much free to heal and esunaga as needed.
For turn one with the Godreas I did Activate: Photonise Nitrogen Cartridge + Activate: Nitrogen Cartridge, then on turn two 98 Photonised Cartridge + Radioactive Cartridge. Quad cast Plasma Laser chains took out phase 1 and 2 Liches in one shot each. The quad cast at the beginning of Phase 3 took it down to like 7%. He killed Wilhem and Charlotte on his turn, then dual cast Plasma Lasers finished him off.
My better Godrea is in my Nemesis 1 slot (776, 432, 886). I'll leave her up for a while.
Godrea's imperils wear off after the first two rounds of damage dealing, so if you have an outside imperil for whatever element you are using you should be able to take out the Lich's third form in a single round as well.
Edit: Well, rather, you should just have an outside imperil because his status clears when he dies and revives, huh? Nevermind me, it's early.

Thanks for the write-up! I was able to pretty much do the same, although I used Lilith and M. Ramza as my tanks. Things got a little dicey after turn 5. I only got him down to 26%, and M. Ramza got hit with Kill, re-raised, and hit with Kill again. Fortunately, double plasma laser was enough to finish him off from 26%.
Rain story event bonus stage done. I decided to take AK Rain for a spin because this is his event. His elemental chaining abilities have pretty low mods so I was not able to first turn KO, but that's okay. I got all missions done.
Random 3* ticket dropped rainbow for Esther#5. Getting to the point where I'm getting a lot of #5 and #6 of certain units. I also pulled Noctis#6 the other day.
Madam Edel may be the best bet. She's a huge jump in power and I think was the only rainbow in her banner in JP. After that the big jump in power comes from Odin Raegen, but who knows how that banner will be handled in Global (and he's around a year out still).
Since I have 46K lapis, and the only thing I'm really waiting for is Terra, I figured I might as well try a roll on the special banner, since it's a guaranteed rainbow of a more limited pool.
Aaaaand Beowulf number 2. What do you even DO, dude. Well, another 7* for the pile.
WTF? There are magical top hat moogles in the hexvius raid summon. I finished a magical top hat literally just last week. After running it in expeditions for months and months.
IW runs have been awful until today. In back to back runs I managed to get the rare on Claws of Darkness (23% ATK, 27% HP) and Ashen Ember (30% ATK, 30% HP). Next up is Lagoa for Godrea to replace Machine Gun+.
Edit: Third rare run in a row, Lagoa now has 52% ATK and 15% HP. Neat!

But I figured out that with around 54k lapis I was able to afford one impulse pull.. So I did and the screen showed two rainbows. First one popped and AK Rain #1 comes out, then a blue breaks into gold which breaks into a rainbow and AK Rain #2 comes out.

Enhanced/Latent Ability Hyoh is a pretty perfect partner for AK Rain since their LBs perfectly chain. Enhanced Hyoh is no slouch when it comes to dealing damage even if you didn't have a AK Rain to pair with him.
Actually, I think that Elena is a better chain partner for AK Rain. She has triple case, one SR ability, and her LB perfect chains with AK Rain's LB. The only problem is element mismatch, but Sylvie can fix that.
But, honestly, there are so many AK Rain on the friend's list that you won't need to bring your own chainer.
I'm planning on clearing Emperor (finally). Could someone setup AK Rain on Diabolos with an extra Man Eater+? The builder shows that a balance between ATK (2.6k - 2.8k) and LB damage boost (100% - 150% is best. Thanks!

How does Hyoh 2.0 compare to Esther? She's still my primary DPS.
I gave AK Rain all of Esther's TDH gear (who had over 2800 damage) and he was not able to get over 2500. Oh well. Esther is back on the main team; until I manage to pull a second Elena and 7 star her.
I'm nervous/excited for this weeks MK event - if it's FFVI. I was expecting to drop a lot of resources chasing AK Rain, but that was not the case. Now, I have to pull to get bonus units, but I want CG Terra so I may go pretty deep with the pulls to get her. I have a bunch of "off-banner" resources I've been saving (EX and 5+1 tickets). We'll see if I get something good from them on Thursday.
I'm super disappointed that Archmage Kefka wasn't buffed enough to matter. Like, he's worse than Circe. Here's hoping that CG Terra gets the love she needs to be useable - mostly she needs some bulk because in JP she's as sturdy as wet tissue paper.
Locke is a great breaker and ok damage dealer. He could use AoE breaks in place of his ST ones from JP but otherwise he doesn't need too awful much.
