Without Covid shenanigans, the timeline shows FFVIII something like 9 months away. I think I'd be okay getting Malphasie's STMR. It's just, I don't really need it right now. I'm not doing trials. Don't feel like it. I'm just looking for an excuse to use resources. They've been piling up. But there's nothing I need.
Like, I have 3200% TMR saved up. And I already have all the TMRs I want. Every time I pull a unit with an okay TMR, chances are I can get it for free from raid moogles I saved up.
You could always use TMR moogles on fodder units for the trust coin shop. Pretty much my entire chocobo expedition team is 5* units I plan to feed to the machine. I have so many T. Terra's or Ace's.
I'd lean on them having GLEX stuff. They've shown they can do unit editing remote with boosting these Esper units. The main issue is the art team and if they can design the sprites/animations, but I'd imagine they might.

I've essentially won the game, insofar as the game can be won with hoarding. I haven't a fuckload of trials, but the trials were only ever gear and unit checks for me. Wait long enough and you auto-win them.
[edit] By the way, the bundle gave me CG Lightning #4, Beryl #4, and Fryevia #6. The first two were decent pulls. A good STMR and a good TMR. TMR-moogled Beryl immediate. That used up some TMR moogles. Thing is, the bundle also gave me 2x 50% moogles, so...

Well all I had to do was unlock LM Fina’s latent, leveled 2 of them up to 7*, and geared them out. Level up both AK Rain and Sol to 6*. Finally able to handle LRD.
Sadly just about any 7* friend unit can solo it, probably could have just left it to them haha.
Edit: Spent all my EX tickets in hopes of a bonus unit upgrade. One rainbow, Greg 2.0. Might have to throw a ticket a day at his banner. See if i can get another.

Having three different elemental imbues across two supports, two of which are party imbues, none of which is the imbue that my dps has natively, is soooo nice.
Like, without much effort, now I can hit lightning, ice, water, and wind vulnerabilities with no gearing changes. It's nice.
Greg 2.0 is worth the resources for the STMR IMO. Nice grab there!

I used AWoL, P.Cecil, Rikku 2.0, and Doc Aiden (dark imbue and imperil). I guess I could have also used AWoL and P.Cecil to imbue and imperil.
What the fuck? Am I supposed to farm 600,000 currency just to get the esper unit weawpons? And another 150,000 for the ticket?
It's not that bad honestly. I just got the second 5* ticket (been burning NRG pots when I can't sleep) and already have all the weapons, the ticket, all of the trust moogles, and the enlightenment keys. Bonus units are plentiful and I've seen a decent amount of bonus mob encounters.
I do, however, have 475% bonus on my own, so 575% or 675% depending on friend unit.
Yeah, I don't think I hit 300% bonus on my own, seeing how all I have is a single Sol and a single Fina, no 7*. So I don't think I'll be able to get most stuff.
When I ran that weapon through IW I got the unique Dimension Slicer on the first floor. Is the unique scripted to always show up? I know the rare rate on that weapon also seems to be quite a bit higher than other weapons.

Something else I read, don't run any of the MK weapons through IW. Apparently there is a bug on the JP side that if you do, you can't upgrade them later. Maybe GUMI will fix it, but no guarantees.

Here's hoping they institute a system to remove IW enchants entirely. Although, with how notoriously bad the code is in this game, it may take some time to figure out how to do it without breaking 100 other things.

Finally hit the rare on Siegebreaker. Yay, +65% HP Flail.
Once I get 3 more levels into Alphonse, I should easily hit the 25.5k hp parameter quest.

Boy am I sure glad I unlocked that 50% hp materia before attempting this Trial. That's almost 18k damage through -80% breaks, magic cover mitigation, 50% general mitigation, 30% magic mitigation, 120% SPR buff, and around 1300 SPR from equipment.
But yay, that's all the old Espers up to 3* + Bahamut 2* done except for Asura and that new dragon who I haven't progressed far enough to unlock yet.
Hardest one out of the bunch was probably Anima 3*, given that she could just up and kill random people and Berserk. Bahamut 2* was not terrible and was a nice test of how much damage my DPS will do against monsters with high DEF (430 + 1075) and native resistances (-70% wind resistance after imperil). Took 10 turns to kill.
Yeah I have zero Elephim somehow... definitely waiting to see how she stacks up against enhanced Sylvie though before going for the 18 UoC plunge on that one.
Good thing item world is two weeks this time.
haha well for sure, her STMR is better. Depending on how her enhancements shake out, I might UoC 2 prisms for it. They did mention "easier access to her LB", so maybe they'll move the upgraded part to something else.
I'm not quite sure how she'll fit in though. JP got enhancement way sooner and while she's certainly efficient, I'm not sure what else she'll be doing. 1 turn breaks 2 stats and buffs 2 stats, turn 2 does the other set. They last for 3 turns. Compared to Orders Nichol, Kryla, Rikku X-2, or Sylvie, she's just missing a bunch of tools in the toolbox. I kind of hope they add something new in.
I have a single Elephim. I won't be UoCing a prism or anything. If another one falls into my lap maybe I'll use her, but as of right now I don't see how she'll be an upgrade over my current setup.
I think my two MK tickets were MercRamza#6 (or 7? I lost track) and Shadowlord#3. Not bad STMRs for them so it's nice to have progress, but I'd rather something more exciting.
Shadowlord's STMR is a bit underrated. I'm finding these newer units to be really MP hungry, especially the GLEX ones with Magus. For TDW user's it's pretty good. You're losing a bit of damage compared to Lightnings or some of the other STMR swords, but getting 20% HP/MP innate is a good trade off.
Oh yeah, extra MP/HP on one handed weapons is great. I ran Kain's Lance through IW and got the rare and some extra HP on it as well to complement the innate 15% HP it has. Sure, it has lower ATK than, say, Longinus, but if I need the HP and not the killers Kain's Lance will slot right in.

I'd like to hit Basch or Wilhelm's STMR any day now. One of either of them would be fine.
The news update has Esther and Sylvie's enhancements. Esther's look good, mod increases, buffed her imperil. Her LB is getting upgraded but need to see the datamine to see how much. I'm not an expert, but I feel like Esther will be back in style.
Sylvie's look really good. T-cast turn 1, increased turns on T-cast from her CD skills. Her damage reductions buffed to 30%, four turn duration, and have a little heal added to them. The big thing is that all of her stat buffs (Growing Offense / Defense and her CDs) are undispellable. That seems crazy good. With increased durations and more ready access to T-cast, Sylvie can cover a lot of stuff.
They removed the strange decaying heal/refresh from Elephim's main abilities and added a 8 LB fill to it. She too like Esther has an "enhanced LB" one which we'll have to wait and see. I'd guess it'll at least increase to 200% like her songs for the buffs.
Sylvie's seem ok. Increasing her breaks to 65% make them usable I guess but 70% would have been helpful. She has a weird tiered buff now with 160% to start and 180% for the back half. The un-dispelable is niche but could be useful if we see another dispel happy trial. Hop to the rescue is interesting, a 300% buff for tanks or healers with Def/Spr. Some more innate LB rate is nice as well since her LB is still really good.
Sylvie is definitely better with her enhancements but no general mitigation means I stick with Qin for now. Sylvie will be good for Dark Visions if you need a turn 1 lightning/earth/light imbue plus buff/break, though, so I'll likely enhance her anyway.
Esther looks like she lives or dies based on her boosted LB. Her mods on her on-demand attacks are good but not amazing.
I'll probably end up enhancing all of them. They will all be useful for DV and CoV teams when those finally come back.
I think something that a lot of people are overlooking is that Esther's enhancements are going to increase her survivability a lot. They give her 3 stacks of mirage on Shock Embrace, more status immunity, 100% guts, and more tankiness! She's going to be pretty amazing even if she's not a top 5 damager.
I'm seriously thinking about UoC'ing MM Xon. He seems like he's going to be a key piece of DV. Sylvie gives out 1 person 300% buffs, that he could then spread to everyone else for example.

I got 6 of them from the anniversary, used 1 for CG Lightning's TMR (back when I didn't have 4 of her), and I got one in the mail recently.
I would use them if there's anything I wanted.

I wonder if it's worth UoCing her prism to enhance her. Especially with Sylvie getting enhancements, too.
I'd for sure wait. Sylvie is supposed to be getting some better breaks, buffs, and some healing.
I'm lucky and have ended up with her STMR, so she'll just get whatever other enhanced item I've created. Probably the gaia bell.
