Stranger Strangely In A Strangely Strange New Strange Land: Version

Are there any really large and noticeable differences between the published and unabridged versions of Stranger in a Strange Land? I want to reread it, but it seems the only version available for Kindle is the original published version. I read it as a paperback which is now long gone. I thought I remember something about it being uncut but my memory is a liar. I think I remember most of the main things that happened in the book but I can’t remember for sure. Anyway I don’t really care if I read the originally published version again, but I’d rather not go from having read the uncut version to the cut version.

The “uncut” version was published in 1991 if that helps. It was published posthumously based on the original manuscript and some of Heinlein’s notes.

The original was cut down by Heinlein himself at the publisher’s request, and according to him it merely trims out “excess verbiage”. The majority of the substance remains unchanged.

I read it after 1991 so I’m not sure but I’ll probably just go with the edited version since I just can’t find the unabridged version digital and it seems it doesn’t matter much to the core content.

    Thanks @knitdan !

Btw I saw your response super late. Sorry for just responding now.
