I hate the way it works so much. You like fly through the air the whole time and sail right past your target and probably the edge of the map most of the time in PvE.
I miss having all the old ornaments that I unlocked on the Xbox, and it's weird (for anyone but bungie i guess) that we can't earn them anymore. Just the basic armor ornaments that were there back at the start of year one. The universal ornament thing seems weirdly underutilized. My worst fear is they're going to fucking Bungie it and intro a system that seems like what we wanted, then only give us a smattering of ornaments and then turn around and try to sell us ornaments for cash. "EP armor universal ornaments....in the store! The whole set for $15 dollars...per class!" *grits teeth*

Didnt they basically datamine a kitbashed EP set a while back? Cant imagine them giving it away.

It's funny how much of the seal I end up doing by accident, I guess I'll have to actually try to do the Vex Offensive crap... It sooo many kills with weapons

Ah, yeah, I'm chasing the Seal too. I didnt think Master Ordeal would be that bad, but now I'm worried. I'm mostly concerned with the more grindy aspects of the seal. Vex Offensive and Randy's are the things I'm most worried about. I'm almost done with the SR kills, but I'm still only ~30% on the medals. I'm hoping the FR double kill trick helps me grind that out quickly.

i made pretty good progress on some of the harder VO kills objective early on. got the bow and HC precision kills early. still need some more bow kills though. multi-kills i just need smg, and there more than enough time to clean up the general kills i need. then its just the collection and the Undying Mind kills.
i'm not really worried about the Master Ordeal but as i get closer to everything else i can't help but worry that something will fuck me over.

Even if you wipe you won't go to orbit, you'll just be back at the previous checkpoint.
When my team did it a couple of times when it was Savathun's Song we were using divinity and 2x masterworked izanagi's with honed edge prepped to deal with barrier champions. Trying to get those barriers down with primaries under-levelled is a bit of a mess.
Though I suppose with Eriana's vow it might be possible to break the shield legitimately instead of avoiding it altogether.

yeah i wouldn't do it in the same run as going for the pinnacle gear. easy enough to get a 100K+ score on the 950 level. a 980 run would be just about getting it done.

or super kills! supers from other subclasses count. will take a bit long when your grenades and melee aren't contributing but you'll still get there. also bottom tree Striker is great for that step. just run around bashing things with your super. even with the nerf you'll still be taking out large mobs near every time you pop it.
I asked “how did you do totem on a hunter?”
and a got an answer.
For totem as hunter I used izanagis, hush, wendigo. Way of wraith. (hush is only non-sniper weapon that can one-shot redbars*, and the aggro and solar grenades are too much for two shots to get the invis crit). sequence was thin any acolytes approaching plate, tag totem, snipe left or right knight, totem, invis off an acolyte, bring orb to center, refresh invis, totem, slam orb, invis, izanagi each boomer (each makes you invis so can take care w shot), totem, wendigo shot for the huge thrall pack getting to the plate about that time, invis, tag totem, rinse and repeat 6x.
honestly once I got the sequence down, the only dicey bit was hitting the thrall pack with wendigo and getting myself invis again. key was not to take shots from the plate itself - the acolytes chuck 6-8 solar grenades and make it untouchable. and you don’t have to stand on the totem plate for more than a second to reset it.
*Tried lightweights, they could not. but subtle calamity or another precision frame (76 impact, same as hush), probably could. hush just has more range with opening shot, and I ran a minor spec to make sure.
So I’m not gonna do that, and just use a warlock instead.
Exit Strategy and Gambit Emblem get! was just a few Taken away from getting them in the same match. both done now though. only Randy and this ship to go to close out the collection.

There's ways to load in solo on PS4 for sure and on PC for the most part but I'm unaware of any on the Xbox.
Baring that workaround, I've found that the key is to get really aggressive in the first area about running to spawn people aren't at. Usually everyone clusters around the one you turn on to start the event but one of the other two areas will also spawn adds. Go fucking nuts before anyone else shows up and you can make ok progress in my experience.

Got Oathkeeper from Zavala for turning in bounties. I know it's probably not held in high regard, but I love it. Bows are already my favorite weapon, and this makes them SO fun to use.
Paired it up with Hush and basically 2-manned most of the Altars of Sorrow with a blueberry until some others dropped in around round 4. It was great.

Oh that's rich. There are a whole bunch of exotics that only have 1/3rd chance of being able to slot the right mods for the weapon type they enhance. Hadn't thought of that before.
Add on that chest piece that auto-loads ARs every few seconds and this gets even more incredibly stupid.
gotta give up the saint-14 hat for that though. and then your michael buble concert is only a terrifying slaughter cage instead of a blindingly terrifying slaughter cage and who wants that?
