That reminds me... I haven’t even looked at the new mods this season
The seasonal turnover on the mod slot has really put a damper on my enthusiasm for any of the new mods.
yeah i love getting some awesome stat gear and masterworking it and then not being able to use the mods for the next season unless i start that shit all over
didn't realize that quests and bounties shared a pool, have been wondering why I can never nail down how many bounties I can carry.
Need to start working through this log. >.>
Yeah, that's incredibly annoying when you jump in fresh (or after taking a 1.5 year break) and have like 60 quests, so you can only grab a handful of bounties.
Everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty

The problem this season especially is that you have to really commit to the new mods, which means you need to grind out a whole new set of gear for it.
Honestly, all of this would be WAY less of an issue if the stat rolls on items weren't so HUGELY random. They need to find some way to make it easier to get something roughly like you want on the piece of armour you want.

The new mods also require a bit of reading to understand on top of that. I know that sounds like a really lame annoyance (omg reading), but when it's added on top of all of your accurate complaints....
I need a bigger Vault if they're going to do this since GoS raid is still the latest raid....plus the older ones had their own mods....

I’m still not sure what “Charged with Light” is all about and its mentioned on all the new season mods.
Not really in a rush to replace my already MW gear from last season with this new season gear that doesnt even sound that interesting.
It turns out I baked 300+ cookies last time this event was around, so I got my speeder fixed as soon as I turned in the new cookies it wanted me to make.
Same here, I farmed the shit out of cookies last time around. Haven't even looked at it yet. Up into level 50 of the season pass you get a second set of the righteous armor and it's all 62+ stats. Got a feeding frenzy / kill clip SMG and promptly dismantled it by accident. MF'r.

I am far from an authority on anything, much less Destiny stuff, but my understanding is that there are a set of mods (all the ones I've seen have had a green icon on the mod icon, as opposed to the standard white icon or the blue seasonal mod icons) which give you Charged With Light. All the ones I've seen have had a negative stat modifier as well as the Charged With Light effect and they all give you the Charged With Light buff based on different things. The only one I can remember off the top of my head was one that offered me Charged With Light when I killed something with my finisher in exchange for 10% of my Super meter and was, I think, -discipline, maybe?
There are then mods which do something only when you have the Charged With Light buff. I'm pretty sure the one of those I saw had a yellow icon but I'd guess the seasonal artifact-based ones are going to be blue? So you have to slot a mod somewhere which generates the buff, then another mod which consumes the buff.
It's an interesting mechanic but I feel like it's over-complicated given the number of screens you need to go through to set it up. If I could just pick "I want these things to generate the buff and to use this effect to consume it" on the artifact screen or a sub-screen thereof that'd be nicer.

The Artifact doesn't provide any of the Charged With Light stuff, that all comes from the Obelisks. Artifact mods have that distinct teal background and light blue icons. Mods that are "generators" for Charged With Light have the standard grey background with green icons. Mods that are "consumers" of Charged With Light have the standard grey background with yellow icons. There are also a couple Dawn mods that aren't generators/consumers and therefore have the standard grey/white.
I haven't messed with Charged with Light at all, but I wanted to be able to make a set that can have Protective Light (significant damage reduction when your shields are broken when Charged) and Hive Barrier (significant damage reduction against Hive) to theoretically assist with a Pit of Heresy flawless solo. That said, while I just unlocked Protective Light, I've literally messed with none of the Charged with Light mechanics because I have just been insta-deleting new armor since I keep forgetting I need new seasonal armor to make this build work.
I figure if I can have Hive Barrier/Armaments plus Protective Light and a Generator I won't instantly die in the third encounter, but it also won't be the right elements and what not I'm sure.
So I like the neat mod ideas in general and want to encourage experimentation. But it'll suck if they don't keep a method around to get Dawn armor once the season is over. At least you can still run the Raid or Nightmare Hunts to get Undying season armor.
It actually makes me wonder if they'll scrap all the content next season or leave some of it around.

I'm waiting to mess around with Charged With Light until I get the high-stat armor from the season pass track.
That stuff is likely going to become my default since all of it is void, and it will provide a good opportunity to start messing around with builds.
I'm kind of psyched to reach that point, too. Seeing as those mode are tied to just general play mechanics, and not to a specific raid or location.
Prodigious abuse of daily dawning bounties let me get up to rank 81 or so last night in the season pass. Should hit 92 by the end of today or tomorrow and then I can start farming my preferred sundial rolls
"Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination."
The IB quest would be fine if it weren't for the Rocket step
I found the first step horrendous. I couldn't get a super kill for ages because everyone was running around with snipers and wardcliffs, so I'd come around a corner to kill someone and get deleted from my super. I had to resort to Nova Bomb (a class I don't like playing in PvP) just to get the kills.

Hmm I didn't have too much trouble, and I usually run tether. But I did put on Spectral Blades to pull out the last few kills I needed.

Pretty dumb decision, especially because good stat roll armor is incredibly stingy outside of iron banner for some reason.

Correct, so you get good stats on ugly armor
Both can fuck right off.
Easy. You go to the tribute hall to talk to statue Calus
I've never done a leviathan raid. Doesnt affect tribute hall
There is also one for Riven but you can use the Wish Wall to get around that. It is tedious but easily soloable.

Here, I made this:
XBL: Sans Gravitas, Steam, Destiny, Twitch
Destiny Raid Groups: Team NATBurn, Team Fourth Meal (Disbanded)

I don't think Alter completion is required; is the Dungeon's little symbol not on your director?
You need to complete the quest that Eris gives you. It involves opening a chest from part 3 (out of 5) of the altar event.

bounties. that's kinda the only answer. nothing else is really good enough exp to be worth 'grinding'.

So. Having done it twice, the new IB quest is definitely the worst
