I was Code of Missile and used my super when a bunch of guys were on the point. I'm still on the scout rifle step because I can't seem to get enough kills with it. Symmetry is helping though.

Code of the Missile is Code of the Headshot-out-of-midair in my experience.
Yes absolutely. its my favorite PVE spec but in PVP I was getting killed a whole bunch. Helped me get those super kills when the enemy team wasn't paying attention. Long range hammers is best for PVP I've found.
I haven't really noticed any cheaters in Crucible or Iron Banner, yet anyway. Theres been a few stand out players, but nothing that appears to be actual cheating.
Of all the things to season pass gate that is pretty high on the list. At least if they are at all serious about making it a fair and competitive thing.
I'm kind of dreading trials returning. It isn't going to revitalize PvP in any notable way since it is and was such a exclusive mode to begin with. Maybe it'll quiet some of the content makers who have been clamoring for it? I just don't see that happening, and imagine it'll just be another lighting rod for griping.
I predict it'll recycle trials gear, with an even more frustrating acquisition method than IB and people hate that right now already. And random rolls for the y1 weapons, but are there any of those that don't already have one or more Y2+ counterparts?
I dunno, I'm probably just being cynical, and I fully acknowledge trials was never my thing. But even when it was at it's height in d1 it still produced more bitching than enjoyment, based on posting here at least.
I think it'll look almost exactly like old Trials, at first anyway. I think they'll work boons in somehow, I think the old Trials armor will be there as ornaments, and I think we'll see how much people actually want what they say they want.
I really want the D1 Trials armor back but I doubt they'll do that. It would be fucking sweet though. While they're at it, give me my old flawless emblems and shaders back.
I’m glad that there is a set of armor from the season pass that doesn’t have ass stats this time. Super nice to just have a full set to equip on the alts without having to think about it

I meant the D2 year 1 armor. I don't think they'd put the D1 armor back in and selfishly I don't want them to, I want sweet new armor to earn and ornament.

Ugh the rocket kill requirement has literally caused me to stop playing. I hate it more than anything bungie has ever done
I say this as someone who grinder OG mountain top
My team just never goes for heavy. 7 games in a row with zero progress and I just lost it. Taking a break from this game unless this season does something special
Sad part is before this iron banner I was more into it than ever. Was grinding Pve for resources to upgrade armor but was relying on iron banner for good rolls to upgrade. Now without the ability to do that I have zero desire to play at all

I don't see them bringing back Trials of the Nine armour because I'm pretty sure Trials of the Nine is dead and it'll be Trials of Osiris that they bring back, with Osiris-themed armour.
They've outright said Trials of the Nine is dead and I'm pretty sure all the lore and story that were supposed to be in there got dumped on us during Season of the Drifter, so it's all tapped out.
So the weapon rng is definitely weighted right? Because there’s not way purely random rolls would be this hard to get multi kill clip and outlaw on a breachlight when I’m getting literal duplicate drops of hip fire grip and threat detector rolls

Truly random RNG actually does spit things like that out. It's better to have a weighted system towards things you don't have yet, but Bungie rarely does that.

Nah, it's the opposite. True random will give you much more streaky irritating behaviour. It's why it's bad.
Also IB continues to be awful. I actually thought there was a sniper step to this IB quest, but no. It turns out every team is like 50% snipers ... just because.
I would be sad if going free to play eventually led to seeing a lot of cheaters, but I haven't noticed one yet so I'm safe for now I guess.
Bungie has done fuck-all to address cheating throughout the Destiny franchise, to a point that's comical in comparison to other AAA devs. I think the game has skated by largely because cheating is just comparatively harder to do on consoles. But there have been concerted efforts by Destinytracker and other sites to identify teams that were clearly ddos'ing, and Bungie has never given a shit.

I imagine it's awful as any other class.

But this IB in general has felt pretty shitty to play in, so maybe when I get to that step this time it will be bad.

I’ve seen an amazing one earlier this week. Istant-spawn-kill hacks.

But I don't really play competitive at high level, so maybe it's more there.
If I just need to do something small or quick I'll just do a couple games on PC. Things like scorch where it just doesn't matter, for instance.

Fuck them, they dont deserve second chances.

It will revitalize PvP, in that it'll bring back a lot of people who left Destiny when there wasn't a hardcore PvP mode to grind weekly.

Which system? @shryke handles PC, @GMaster7 handles PS, and @ObiFett handles Xbox
XBL: Sans Gravitas, Steam, Destiny, Twitch
Destiny Raid Groups: Team NATBurn, Team Fourth Meal (Disbanded)

Plus, you know, DDOSing at 8-0.
Comp has sucked some times, but Trials highs/lows are much worse.
That said, we'll play it.
(But there will be a fourth wheel left out some nighta which will suuuuck)
The D1Y3 Trials armor with ornaments looked sweet. Gimme this.
Trials was annoying in D1 because cheaters (also no-flinch snipers but I kinda liked that 👀)
Trials in D2 sucked because no Mercy rule, and in general PvP sucked at the time

God snipers are toxic weapons.
Haunts my dreams.
Also the rng in this game can suck a big one. I’ve made so many of these guns and not got the roll combinations I want.
