Trying to find the name of a very sad rap song.

The other day I heard a song in a friends car that started with a classic piano tune and broke into a slow rap about a kid who trys to get into a gang, then while trying to prove he is 'cold' he unknowingly rapes his mother, finds out, and kills himself. It was so sad I literally got a little fuzzy eyed..

Any help?

Thanks.

You heard immortal technique on the radio? Or was it on a friend's media (ipod/cd)? Cause if they are playing Immortal Technique on the radio the sky has fallen.

You can get most of his stuff on itunes, some of his stuff is free through his site. He is a great MC, I have a problem with him like I have a problem with a lot of angry rap artists. At least he is making art, and he is a pretty good lyricist and definately a great rhyme-artist. But the kind of rage he raps about can be unhealthy if it is genuine.

Despite my problems with his anger my favorite song is obnoxious. This makes me a hypocrite. It won't make you tear up, and would definately offend most.

Okay this is totally weird. I saw the title of the thread and immediately knew it was this song.

Is this like the only sad rap song, or something?

Runaway Love has been on the radio, doesn't that classify as a sad song?

No, but it's so over the top that I, too, instantly thought of this song.

    Seriously, IT is flippin awesome.

Man, I wish you'd spoilered the description, would have put a much bigger impact when listening to the song. Damn that's fucked up the song is based on real events.

    Awesome, thanks.

Yet again, heard some odd music in a friends car. I heard Radioheads 'Creep' sung like a loung singer... Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks for the help so far!

My college roommate was friends with this guy, and when he called to leave messages for her, he called himself "Tech."

I don't even listen to hip hop, but I knew it was this song too.

i had assumed it was this song too, because a lot of my friends that don't listen to rap otherwise will mention how they like this song because of how heavy its story is

Richard Cheese and the Lounge. They also do the version of Down With the Sickness that's in Dawn of the Dead

Tech happens to be about the best freestyle battle rapper alive, as well.
