Somehow you just knew it was going to happen. The idea that it was 90 days away was just too good for this world At least it gives me time to accrue more vacation (was legit holding off on visiting friends because this was coming up and I needed the time).
Three big things (so far) I'm looking forward to this year; all were supposed to be by April (CP2077 would have been the last). Two have now been delayed towards the end of the year.
Now fingers crossed the PC Engine CoreGrafx Mini doesn't get delayed.
In my current IRL situation that some of you know, "things I'm looking forward to" have become a small form of psychological self-care. So while normally I'd shrug at a delay, even one this long, it stings this time. Even if it's not unexpected.
(edit: this wasn't meant as seriously as it looked. Am just disappointed. A month, 6 weeks even... that's one thing. But a 5-month delay? They knew well before now they would need that much more time.)
Superman's invulnerability is extremely variable. Also, Thor is also entirely immune to bullets (and honestly almost anything under the level of "superscience laser") but you don't see people complaining that you couldn't make a game with Thor being playable!
When was the last time they made a game with Thor?

At least there's some stuff coming out that's spread out: RE3 w/ it's online component is going to be huge I'm guessing (honestly CAPCOM has been on a stupid long streak since RE7, I don't expect this will be any different), the NIOH 2 beta was really fun from what I played of it and that Pokemon-like Temtem looks like what I thought Pokemon would actually be. That's a good amount of stuff for Winter/Early Spring.
. . .still I'm down for raiding Poland and demanding CDPR release a demo or. . .something.

The RE3 online component wasn't very great in open beta unless they've made massive changes in the past month. The single player should be great, but like with RE2 it's beatable so might drop off the radar after a few months. Doom Eternal, Persona 5 Royal, Alyx and FF7 remake are the big ones I'm interested in.
The PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn will come to personal computers this year, sources tell Kotaku. It’s an unprecedented move for Sony that signals a future in which the publisher releases games on platforms beyond its own consoles.
This news comes from three people familiar with Sony’s plans, all speaking anonymously because they were not authorized to talk to press. Sony did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

That is very bad news ... for my budget.
Gonna gift so many copies of HZD.

There was an Open Beta? I didn't even know there was a closed beta. I saw a one hour video that Gamespot put out and it looked fun.
. . .also I need to finish Death Stranding.
I was hoping for something like Outbreak, where it's more like single player but with coop partners that can die and turn into zombies, but instead it's more of an arcade RNG dungeon thing. If they made more interesting levels, spaced out areas where the DM can place traps and monsters, would be more fun. But there's zero tension or quiet moments, the best part of Resident Evil games IMO, it's just a race to the exit with magical zombie spawns https://youtu.be/sQHE34v04zw

Hmm, Death stranding is coming to PC also, and it is running on the HZD engine. Makes sense to port both.

Really, what we need is a professionally made Zombie Master.

I'm not going to lie. . .that looked fun as hell to me. Ha. I think an actual RE: Online mode with PvP and randomly generated puzzles would be pretty cool. This reminds me of a campy as fuck Left 4 Dead which. . .isn't a bad thing in my opinion, but definitely not RE7 or RE2: Remake in terms of tone.

Still. Gutted. We were THIS close.
More time to gift is just a bonus.
LOL, I don't think you can make any money with that bet. When was the last time valve released something on time?
Let's get it started!
In worse news.
Begun the PC platform wars have.
When's the last time Valve released a non-prerelease game? Portal 2, which got delayed twice?
I think Left 4 Dead 2 might have been the last (and only?) Valve game to not get a delay of some sort.
Dota Underlords will be out of early access early this year.
Theoretically Alyx has already been delayed. When they announced the Index they said they would release a flagship VR title in 2019.
Now fingers crossed the PC Engine CoreGrafx Mini doesn't get delayed.

They seem to be doing a big media blitz right now, so hopefully that means they're still on track.
There, I said it.

That's 3 big ones (that I know about) so far!
Hoof. Hot takes here, get ya hot takes.
AND for me.
That means more time to finally finish The Witcher 3!
I mean, I probably won't but there's more time to.

He's in Ultimate Alliance 3, which just came out a few months ago, unless we're not counting console exclusives.
"There's finally time to play all the Witcher 3 I want"
*breaks glasses*
Oh, yeah. I forgot about it precisely because it was exclusive.
More like.... Cyberpunk 2021!
Okay, that's the best joke I've got.

But above all, Don't Worry!
Death Stranding PC releases early summer! Woooo!
That is very bad news ... for my budget.
Gonna gift so many copies of HZD.
So we can all strand with each other.
*starts to hyperventilate*
(it's probably a very good thing for my budget that I swore off gifting for 2020...)

God that game was so much fun. Had a whole community coming together to make weird, cool levels.
