Freeplay and First Look Size?

Looking at the map in the guidebook it seems like the freeplay and first look areas are smaller this year. I hope this isnt the case since those areas have already been packed in previous years and are the main reasons I come to paxunplugged. Is there anyone who could comment on this and assuage my paranoid fears?

    Someone mentioned that they compared the map as best as they could (they aren't exactly to scale) and the freeplay and first look are a bit larger than last year. Not massively so, but larger.

    Keep in mind that the total floor space has increased quite a bit for the main expo hall, as Halls D and E were added.

    I've clipped the maps from the last two years and resized them to be the same scale:

    I can confirm they are definitely both larger. The gaming hall this year is now over 10,000 seats, an increase of about a third.

    The map is nice, is there an official one somewhere on the website? I can't seem to locate one if there is.

    Is there mention anywhere of what the coat check will take? Witg checkout times and whatnot we might be stuck with our bags on Sunday. Will they take them at the expo hall?

    In the past they have checked bags. If you are staying at a hotel (rather than an Air B&B), most will also allow you to check items and return for them later.
