Based on the penultimate episode, The Good Place might just thread the needle for its conclusion.

    Spoilers + speculation
My prediction is that the final episode is about everyone living their lives until they choose the final door, content with their afterlife.

I'm definitely going to miss this show, but I'm not upset that it's about to end. It's this close to sticking the landing and putting a bow on everything, without getting too long in the tooth.

Who's going to binge The Goop Lab with Gwyneth Paltrow over the weekend? The Goop Lab with Gwyneth Paltrow is a 6 part documentary series just released on Netflix in which Gwyneth Paltrow, of Goop.com, uses The Goop Lab to investigate wellness topics, presumably as they relate to her website Goop.com, but I can't be sure as I've not yet watched The Goop Lab with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Oh yeah, I think various science and tech sites/blogs started having fun with it when the trailers were released. Well, as much fun as they were able to have, what with their eyes having rolled all the way back and presumably being stuck there.

    Whoa whoa whoa

I friggin' love that Regina Spektor song, and the focus on eyes - the invitation to consider "convicts" as people, which runs counter to most of television.

    It's a good sequence!

Yeah I’ve never skipped it but it was famously at the center of this debate way back when. Like I want to say that OITNB is the reason the skip intro feature was introduced, because people were asking for it

I’m largely against the practice though, I pretty much never use it. The fact that so many shows these days forgo an intro in favor of a title card is a bummer to me

I always chuckled during the mandalorian where you can "skip" the opening which is like twenty seconds like maybe? Like I think it would take longer to skip it.

You can skip the recap and the intro. It's about a minute total.

I mean Good Place is not made by cowards I don’t think, they plow through story with reckless abandon

Would it be better with an intro and a theme song though? Yeah probably

The various Arrowverse shows though yeah, I can accept that there are cowards among them maybe

I like their outro with the various like paintings of the storyline of the episode though. More shows need a quality outro.

    Good Place Spoilers
I dunno, personally I think the actual Good Place having a fatal flaw (eternal pleasure gets mind-numbing) is the last big twist. Especially with how the penultimate episode ended, I'm growing increasingly confident that the finale will be a well-deserved epilogue, potentially for the extended cast too.

The Arrowverse shows should have intros that play a catchy theme song while each character has a quick couple of shots showcasing who they are

Like honestly most TV shows should have that, but especially Arrowverse, that is exactly the caliber of show they are

I don't mind recaps, but most of the time they spoil surprises coming in a given episode by what they choose to recap you on. Like if season five of a show is recapping you on a character from season 2 well you can be pretty sure that person is showing up now.

Its even worse recaps for binge shows, yes I remember the last show I literally watched it an hour ago I'm not a fucking goldfish I remember shit.

Also: christ alive Titans is making itself difficult to watch

    S2 spoilers
Grayson may have indirectly led to Jericho's death, but the guy threw himself in front of his dad to save him, and all of the original Titans were complicit in the plan to begin with, if not still in support of it to some extent. I know you need your mandatory team breakup fix, show, but the team had mostly just milled around in the tower training or rocking up to fight in their civilian clothes. I'm not expecting a villain-of-the-week formula but come on.

You put a Regina Spektor song over your intro credits and I'll never skip it.

Other intros I can never skip: House, Star Trek Discovery, The Expanse, BSG.

Intros that are painful not to skip: Justified, mostly.

By the halfway point of the second episode there had been four separate musical performances. Was this a thing in prior seasons and we just weren't remembering it? I know they did the music video advertising this season.
