Motherboard problems.

My friend's motherboard has gone bad, it does 1 long beep then 3 short, then does 1 long then 4 short, then repeatably beeps then shuts down. Does anyone know what the could be the problem, and what can be done to fix it.
Parts:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
XFX Geforce 7900GS 600i
2 gigs Corasir PC3200 DDR Ram
ASUS a8n32-sli deluxe MB
650 Watt power supply
the video card takes the extra 6 pronged power cord to operate at capacity.
any help would be most appreciated!
