I currently live in an old, crappy apartment building. I'm looking to get an internet connection, but my options suck. Can't get DSL because the buildings lines are to old, and as for cable well, if my neighbor's cable connection is anything to judge by I'd be better off with 56k. (seriously, half the building must be running torrent servers, as he's lucky to pull 500k down, and at times he can't even hit 100k.)
Anyway, I keep seeing ads for Sprints mobile broadband, so I went and checked it out. $60 a month for (since I live in an area with Rev A) 1.3 MB- 800KB down, maybe 500KB up, and since it's for my laptop (my only PC atm) I can take it with me anywhere.
Anyone have any experience with the service? And mainly is it good enough to be used everyday and not just sporadically? And while I'm not into bittorrent much I do download a decent amount of stuff (podcasts and vidcasts mostly), just how unlimited is their 'unlimited data' plan? I don't want to get it and find out I'm getting charged extra for going over so many GB's a month.
