So, I recently realized that my comuter's CD Drive won't open. No big deal.
But, now I can't rip CDs onto my computer. Is it possible to rip them to my Xbox and then connect my iPod to the 360, and get them from there? It is a USB device, so...

you can play the ipod with a small dl'ed file in their games section. find it using search on xbox.com not sure of the specific address. not sure about file transfer but i think you can.
mine works nicely but I just straight jack my ipod into my machine when i feel like listening and dont dl due to disk space concerns.

There is no way to get ripped music off of the Xbox.
Scrum - I had a similar problem at one time. Go into your system folder, rename cdrom.sys to cdromx.sys, and reboot. It should rewrite the cdrom.sys file. If it works, then great. If not, rename the file back and you've not lost anything.

Not to take away from the OP, but I have a question.
Is there a way to burn music directly from my zune to the 360's hard drive? All I ever seem able to do is just stream it, as long as I have it plugged in.
Look at your CD Rom bay... you should see a small, pin-sized hole somewhere on it. Take a paperclip, straighten it out, and shove it into the hole. The drive door will open.
This is the manual open switch. I don't recommend using it all the time, but it's good knowledge to have, and if you plan on buying a new drive, this trick can keep you running for a few days.
