No one told me that 0.9 lead mechanical pencils exist, apparently they are used for drawing which is exactly what I want, I hope they have 4B leads too but couldn't find them in my bookstore
If this works well I am thinking of finding an upgrade of this
I have way too many mechanical pencils. I think most of them are 30 to 40 years old. They last forever

Just found this thread!
Will post some pics at some point but have a couple of fountain pens, inks, and notebooks. Mostly on the lower end; Pilot Metro, TWSBI ECO, just got a Prussian Blue TWSBI.
Here's a cool tracking site I learned of from The Pen Addict/Brad Dowdy:

Have any of you heard of fashion journals? Like they apparently are big notebooks that have croqui outlines in them that you can use to sketch outfits on?

oh these are all phenomenal! I recently found my dad's old pen collection; he was a lawyer and apparently secretly deep into pens? nothing fancy I think, at least I didn't recognize any of the brands, but then again they were all from 20-30 years ago
I'll try to take some pics next time I get the chance, but I am definitely saving these cool links for a future buying opportunity
went out today and collected a bunch of poke berries and noted the location of a black walnut tree. Ordered a bunch of small bottles and vials. Guess I'm making ink now =/

This might be more appropriate for the Artsy thread, but they scare me with those creepy posable dolls.
There's a virtual festival showcasing the best in new and local comics with discussion panels, drawing games, and cartooning workshops called MICE going on: https://www.micexpo.org/
Edit: now I'm worried I sound like a plug. No relation to it, saw it through a share from my local comic store. Signed up for a few of sessions.

this isn't so relevant for any actual purchasers in the thread since I assume non of us have stupid money, but if ever we win the lottery we ought to remember this website:

Just to throw off everyone during this Bookmark issue, I'll post here...
Made it to back to Mitsuwa Market in Chicago burbs where there's a stationary store inside, Books Kinokuniya. Basically Jet Pens IRL. Was there years ago but knew they remodeled so finally stopped in.
Picked up a TRAVELER'S notebook, passport sized. For those unfamiliar it's one of those build-your-own systems, where you get the leather cover then add different paper notebooks or other items like a small pouch into the cover with ruberbands. Cover usually includes once blank notebook to get your started.
Also got a blank calendar, second-half 2023 calendar, another blank book, and some extra bands and a packet of kraft envelopes - like tiny interoffice envelopes you tape inside the notebook. Got a green Kwaeko Sport as well.
TRAVELER'S is nice so far, leather feels very old timey. Anyone have one? Any tips for use or setting up?
