So... let the speculation begin! Who the hell is the guy on the boat? Yes I know that's Link, I mean the other guy! Looks like Tingle's creepy cousin or something...

Whoever he is, he is far too ugly to be on the boxart.

If Minish Cap is any indication then it surely will. The Japanese Minish Cap box has like the most gorgeous Zelda boxart ever. US/EU ones are just meh.

I don't see how it could be any worse than the Japanese Boxart. At any moment I expect the 'Captain' to blurt out "Buttsecks?"

That fairy never told me any useful information about bosses or screamed at me while I was targeting things. They could have made it a floating bran muffin and it would have served its purpose.

I hope there isn't as much sailing in this as in WW, or they make the sailing ore interesting.

I really didn't mind the sailing, I thought exploring the islands and the ocean was pretty fun.

What the game needs to avoid is the triforce piece/chart hunt. Abysmal.

There was no fairy in TP, it was just a themed crosshair.

Nah, sailing was fun, but what really bothered me about WW was the size of the islands, there was just nothing to explore on foot.

Sailing was ok, but sailing for what felt like forever wasn't, especially when it was just open sea.

I think I may replay WW actually, I haven't touched it since I completed it on my first playthrough.

Empty ocean is never fun, but I think there's a trade-off there. The game had a massive sense of scope, I actually think it has a more epic feel than Twilight Princess.

I don't have the actual box, but it's a cropped version of this image.

I agree it's probably the prettiest Zelda boxart of all.

And despite CrumblyCracker's bitching, it's just a pointer for the stylus in this game as well.

This boxart fails the S-2K "Would I impulse-buy this based solely on the cover" test. It looks only marginally better than the cover for Bubble Bobble Evolution.

This game is controlled Animal Crossing Wild World/Trace Memory style. So a pointer is helpful.

I don't even know why I'm discussing this really, it's not like the creators are gonna take the feature out because of you or anything.

The entire game looks kinda lackluster so far. But I'm sure it'll be awesome in the end, because handheld Zeldas always are.

I dunno, but that's not saying much. Flagship did an awesome job. Ages, Seasons and Minish were all superb, fully worthy entries in the series.

Why do Zelda threads always turn into this?

    "LttP is the best!"

    "No, OoT is!"

    "No, Minish Cap is!"

It never leads to anything. :|

So, Link and some stoner in a steamboat. For the cover of a Zelda title. Ouch. And they were doing so well, what with the TP cover art and all. WW was pretty decent in that respect, too.
