You know, after reading a whole lot of the initial responses to his first post, I've come to the conclusion that a large number of the PA population are absolute, died-in-the-wool, prentious pricks.
Warm as a fucking ice cube, you people are.
Stupid as a rock, the OP is.
Since when does that allow people to act like a piece of shit? So many are intolerant assholes that it makes the entire community seem like a bunch of raging fucking nerds that have an issue with people invading their space.
It took you this freaking long to figure that out?
No, I knew it already, I just like having solid proof of it.
Feel free to point it out like it's some sort of revelation.

Caveat emptor jackass. If you couldn't read this review and tell that it was going to be a dog shit game just like almost every other Star Trek game ever made your a retard. And the company that made it deserved your retard-money.
Fucking anything to knock some of you people off your high horse. Just God damn.
Or perhaps you just need to lighten up. THE INTERNET: SERIOUS BUSINESS SINCE 2002
Because that's exactly the point I was trying to make. Who's treating this shit more seriously, the person who responds to Genuis by telling him to get off his soapbox, or somebody who is utterly surprised about the amount of irony that goes into a forum that prides itself on being somehow above places like GameFaqs?

To be fair, he/she did come in with a pretty silly idea by anyone's standards, and proceeded to argue that case with even sillier ideas. You don't need to be on the internet to get laughed out of a room for a very obviously badly thought-out plan like the OP had.

Err...what? There is a difference between what I told him, what he said, and what you said. I'm telling him he's being way too serious, and that's what I'm telling you.

See, I agree with that, but so many people were approaching it like such elitists that it was unbelievable.

Well, like I always say, there's nothing wrong with elitism when you're elite. :P

People tried to make reasonable posts. When he didn't get the point and still tried to argue against is, that's when it stepped up.
Look at the theory, if I buy a bad game that I (personally) do not like, I am allowed to return it because I am too lazy to see if what I am buying is worth my money.

And for PC games, it'll get to the point where someone will burn it, or rip it to their drive, then return it and claim it sucked and they should get their money back, and the next poor fucker has a CD Key that doesn't work.
I think what Shoe meant to say was "Behold the power of the Free Review Copy".
And I heartily agree.
I hear some of the bigger companies have started doing an old hollywood trick; not sending out review copies on the REALLY shitty games, like the various ports of the last Splinter Cell.
I done gone and missed the story on Star Trek Legacy. What happened? Was it horrible?
From the sounds of it, it suffers from what I call "Patch syndrome", where a company thinks it's viable to release a buggy, half-finished game rather than delay the finished copy in order to simply release a patch later. It doesn't matter if the bugs are game-breaking, so long as they are not immediate.
Genuis is basically proposing that we have some sort of power to punish these people, as well as stores where we buy them(probably the only time you'll see anyone claim EBStop is innocent...) because a game sucked.
I demand that Genuis pay me for this shitty thread.
EDIT: Or I'm gonna go picket outside of Mozilla HQ.
You should be demanding the money from Gabe and Tycho. Since Gamestop has as much to do with shitty games as Gabe and Tycho have to do with shitty posts.

I see Gabe and Tycho more as the publisher for this thread, while Mozilla brought this thread to me.
Sticky this, you know you want to, your heart yearns to free its righteous hope, your hand hovers over the necessary buttons, let it fall, give in, you can set us free.

You need to buy better games.
Better yet, make a thread about it!
I guess it's hard to relate to the OP when smarter gamers don't make shitty purchases.

But it's so high... and my ladder fell.
To be fair, this is the only forum I can find your posts from before page 5.

This is why you CAN'T return PC Games.
