Emporer is definitely lower in my Mastodon tier list for sure but I still dig it. But honestly Oblivion is so goddamned good everything after it is working uphill.

Curl of the burl was tight
And I'm weird among mastodon fans in that I liked once more round the sun a lot.
Actually the cold dark place ep hit pretty well for me at the right time too.
Halloween is a dope track from round the sun imo. Plus the music video to high road was fun.
I wonder if baroness has spent any of the pandemic writing or even recording anything.
Gold and Grey was a really interesting branching out for them and actually has sone of my favorite songs of theirs I think and I really want to hear what they do next because they always got something really cool that somehow still sounds like them. Plus what the hell will they call the next album. They said it won't be a color next time.
I was pretty disappointed with Red fangs album this year.

The talent level in Unlucky Morpheus isn't fair. Jill's violin playing and Fumiya's driving drums make me just want to pile my set of Tama Star Classics and my strat on the front lawn and make a bonfire:

Not typically my bag, but somewhere inbetween 2000's college rock, prog, and post hardcore
This song's one of my favorites as of recent. That crescendo and fade is just *chef kiss*

He was in awe as he had heard nothing like it before
I know shoegazing was a rather nuanced style that happened back in the early 90's. I find it odd it's made a return

This ones a bit more muscle-y, but past the initial cacophony this things melodic as hell. Andrew Wells is a gifted singer.
Time to unite under the banner of getting real fucking mad at a stupid list
outkast appears twice in the top 50, seems like an alright list to me
Not gonna get mad, but 500 is pretty stupid.
It’s 50 great songs with 450 rehashes of the first 50.
This is the worst thing I’ve read today

Des Rocs has been scratching this weird, early 2000's emo pop rock itch I honestly didn't even know I had.
They are very good.

Edit: Oh my god this Eidola record is a monster
I gotta write this song down this is good stuff.
We are creepin' towards Halloween spoopin' times so here is a spooktacular tune from my favorite band of the past year.

Anyway, Final Girl is the best song on Screen Violence and it's certainly not because I haven't heard it all week.
