chapters 0 and 1 are basically tutorial town, I only started to have to even think at all close to the end of chapter 1. Chapter 2 I've started to have to do a little more careful planning.

Do not be afraid to use practice tickets just to try a map out. They regenerate.

343/400 on the first Annihilation. Man does it seem to fall apart. But I think I have a plan for an underused slot that might help.

Gitano's second skill is awesome, incidentally.

It feels so risky to me that I haven't found the right spot where I want to. I do feel more comfortable using Liskarm's second skill.

This is a game from the same group that made a game literally about robot-sexy-women being android-cloned from guns.

if you're talking about girls frontline you got the wrong company

MICA team makes GFL, Yostar makes Azur Lane and Arknights

    Yostar makes nothing.

They are a publisher and basically just a PR mouthpiece.

Manjuu/Yongshi makes Azur Lane. Mica makes GFL. Hypergryph makes Arknights and is made of ex-mica team artists and writers. Well, not only them but the old lead artist of Mica founded Hypergryph with some other people.

AL girls are cubes turned into botegirls the same way 40k orks make space ships.

GFL girls are domestic gynoids handed rifles and told to shoot other robots.

Whelp. At least my top dorm is all set up for when I do further upgrades. Second is just with earned-in-game stuff minus the vending machine. Not even bothering to post my 3rd dorm right now as it's all re-arranged starting trash but you can visit lol. I feel bad for my Operators in that one.

I managed to kill 101/400 on my first try, but the dudes with clubs at the end of the first hundo wrecked my bottom side support, and it my scrambling to fix it I didn't have any DP to do more than drop a Defender in the top lane by themselves.

The most important thing for Annihilation 1 is "how fast can I get DP". The faster you get it the more you can get out before you have to deploy your defensive people, which protects everyone else from ranged enemies. Also, it makes it easier to redeploy to react to stuff when you have a large reserve.

I'm hitting a point where having promoted my main units has messed me up a bit. The few extra points of deployment cost has messed up my tempo, so I need to rethink it all. I might run Yato in my group. He's a 2* Vanguard with just poopy-pants stats, but he's got the lowest deployment cost so he's a super cheap blocker.

Though... maybe I should just be using Projekt Red for that then.

What is this I don't even.

Promoting my vanguards immediately seems to have helped with increasing dp costs. The longer the vanguards survive and can handle the early waves, the more dp is generated to get me rolling.

Oh, agreed. But both my vanguards are promoted and I can't deploy both of them plus Kroos anymore.

That's one of edge cases where the Plume/Vigna line of Vanguards may help you instead. Drop them initially while you stabilize, retreat them at full DP return once you have enough for anyone else who can hold better.

I don't really like them even for that because Block 1 is pants in most maps but it's something to just keep in the back of your head.

Kroos alone can hold the line most maps at E1 for a while, her dps is really good.

But yeah I prefer the block 2 tanky vanguards since they keep making DP when I put Cuora in front of them eventually. But Zima makes 12 dp per tick.

Kroos is not able to hold the line at E1 for me right now. Trying to do the 4th xp ticket mission. You've got to deal with two lines of wolves and some flyers first thing with only 25 or so deployment points.

Edit: Blergh, I just cannot get the 4th xp ticket mission to play right. Projekt Red gets me past that first rush and then I deal with the AOE zerg, but I get squished on the final wave.

Vigna is legit. She has huge dps for a Vanguard. The block 1 matters less when things die before she has to worry about blocking 2. And when you withdraw her she refunds 100% of her Cost. So she's just a pure net positive. Always keep her and Plume in mind for Pure-net-positive Cost units even if you only deploy them for seconds.

Only thing with her is that you wanna make sure she's actually killing stuff early on in the battle to use her cost generator.

Her Skill two lowers her attack speed slightly but almost doubles her damage at lvl1, helping her get those kills and take out tougher units. When you max it, her attack triples.

I think Projekt Red fits my Vigna need well. I probably should have spent that ticket on the healer instead, but Red retreats at full value, has really quick redeploy, and is so cheap to drop. I don't end up having cost problems if I can make it the first 30 seconds, so that's not the problem at least. Found a way past it again, but then I get brutalized by the big final wave.

I picked Liskarm myself, who's great, but I'm still jelly of the other three units I don't have (yet?). All 4 characters on that pick ticket have something special and great about them.

But yeah, I use and love Gravel enough now to understand why people might love Red.

Have you looked at this? It might help.

Skyfire kinda trivializes this map, not gonna lie.

This might also help. Covers 3 through 5 with good notes. LS-5 is a Cost-puzzle through and through while LS-4 is an AoE wave check.

Yeah. I think if I invested in the specific units from one of the guides I could do it. I was hoping to figure it out with the units I have, though. I'll get there eventually. I'm using Gitano instead of Skyfire. Unsure if there's a key difference.

Speaking of, I promoted Skyfire because how can I not. Her second skill is summoning meteor drops for massive damage.

Also SilverAsh because having his tank mode is good and having super range is even better.

Meteors do huge aoe large damage and stun, which is also damage reduction as it resets attack animations. It's a gamechanger.

I don't have Gitano myself but her normal casting is the same. Skill 2 makes her interesting in that she has larger range than most AoE casters and hits everything at once, but she's not doing any damage when it's not active.

Don't forget that when enhancing a unit you want to both level them to raise their stats and also level up their skills to increase damage multipliers. unit trust also results in a pretty considerable stat bump, so units you've built up high trust with may still outperform a newly acquired higher rarity unit just because they have like 30-50 extra attack from trust

The reason Kroos is doing work in videos but maybe is falling short for people is because they probably have a couple of ranks in her skill + the atk bonus from potential + trust bonus

We're getting new banners soon, wait for those for guaranteed 5*s.

Zima is good to have. She has the highest tier of passive DP gain, her second skill option is "all vanguards get buffs" and can generate similar DP to her first (if theres stuff to kill), and she can hold a lane pretty well.

Oh wait nm sorry I get it. Just use the old squad on existing autos.

The auto saves your squad setup from when you did it and does not pay attention to your current squads. The only thing you can dork up with auto is increase your character costs through promotion so the auto can't drop the characters at the right time anymore.

It's a point per 5 minutes I think, but they've been crazy generous with stamina it feels.

If you don't like TD, I can see not liking this. To me it's a huge pro since it's more enjoyable gameplay to me than some of the less active games.

(Yeah, wait till the banner reset.)

Croissant is cool. She makes all the units right next to her tanker passively and has an AoE Knockback Stun.

This game has been pretty anti-tierliest for me. It's been more about skillsets for a particular map then who's higher on a list. Hell, I've been using the Two and One Star units from time to time due to their low deployment costs.

But yeah, characters in the same class have different things they do and arr good at.

Defenders for example. Croissant buffs your surrounding units. Gummy or some other heal tanks can heal units around them. Cuora can block four units. Matterhorn laughs at enemy mages that most Defenders are weak against. Liskarm has range, does magic damage, and charges the skills of those around her. Etc.

    Which one is 'better' there?
