A while back, possibly even in this thread, i posted my own combos for this.

Tony Kent, The Man of Steel. Superman's origin, but using reverse engineered tech from the ship that brought him here ) and his own natural ability to absorb sunlight to become a s uper hero. (and create a tech empire) (Superman + Ironman)
Bruce Curry: The Deep One. Once the king of Atlantis, using his Atlantean magical might to stop a nuclear test cursed him with a monstrous alter ego. Now he's a drifter using magical knowhow and his mosnter side to try and do good, afraid of the harm he could bring to his people if he took up the throne again. (Hulk + Aquaman)
Janet Van Allen: The Bullet. A freak lighting strike hit Janet's work place as she experimented with combing Kent Tech and Atlaten magic. Now she's permently got magitech wings fused to her, and the ability to shrink her size... and increase her speed at the same time. The smaller she gets, the faster she moves. (Flash + Wasp)

Those were the best three i came up with, and i actually want to use a version of Janet Van West somewhere, because The smaller she gets, the faster she moves is a really cool pitch for a power.

Other pitches i thought up would be The Panther Lantern (Black Panther + Green Lantern, Wakanda if it was built round tech derived from a green-lantern style artifact rather than a unique metal), The God of Bats (Batman + Thor - bruce's parents get gunned down in an alley and Bruce finds out he's heir to a lot more than the Blake fortune). I never came up with a good hook for combining Captain America and Wonder Woman, but w/e. (I was using the "Original" rosters of the justice league and the avengers for this)

Ideas hate it when you anthropomorphize them

Suicide Squad came out last week on Netflix over here and with a long running title and 2,5 movies I guess it would be prime material for an Amalgam these days.

On the Marvel Side, the Thunderbolts would probably be the most logical counterpart, but I'm going for X-force, because Task Force X/ X-Force.

The two Amalgams that come to mind first are:
Harley Quinn+ Domino = Columbine; a trickster that for some unfathomable reason manages to engage and survive fights with superpowered characters far outside her weight class.
Captain Boomerang + Boom-Boom = Trying to come up with a combo name (with those two it can be a very dumb name), but Tabitha "Boomer" Harkness is now an Aussie with a penchant for explosives and mass property destruction.

Amanda Waller's counterpart is a bit trickier. I guess Valerie Cooper felt a similar role for X-Factor, so Valerie Waller? Waller is the dominant part of that combo.

Cable is probably the Rick Flag for the group, so Nathan Flag it is.

    Leaving us with the rest:
Enchantress + Siryn probaby works the best as an amalgam of the ones remaining: Theresa Moon is possessed by a mythical siren that gives her the power to enchant those who hear her voice.
Bronze Tiger + Feral = Benjamin Callasantos, a martial artist cat-man.
King Shark + Caliban = 90% still King Shark, but with Caliban's tracking abilities.

I don't want to do Deadshot+Deadpool as that one seems to be too obvious. Maybe some weird Deadshot+Cannonball combo?

Deadshot + Deadpool = Poolshot, a zany, fourth wall breaking pool player who has nothing to do with superheroes, but never misses a trick shot. He’s recently been diagnosed with cancer, but he hasn’t told anyone yet.

Deadshot + Deadpool = Double Dead, a zombie mercenary that can never die, but is definitely trying. He also has the ability to accurately predict when someone will die.

By freak chance these two heroes... anti-heroes... guys are brought together in—

    The Talking Dead!

Iron Fate- Billionaire tech weapons dealer Kent Stark, who has a crisis of faith when his weapons are used for evil scours the earth for solutions to a pandoras box of his own making. He stumbles upon an ancient helm that summons mystical armor that grants a access to myriad mystical powers and harness ancient powers to combat modern technology.

Diana Queen of Atlantis- The myths of Atlantis and Themyscira are actually one in the same when the Amazons facing expansion of the human world decided centuries ago to move beneath the seas. Cut to modern day when Diana their new Queen who was raised amongst humans struggles with her conflicting emotions around wanting to save the human world and protect the seas from humanity.

Kate Greyson - Shadow Wing. After spending years as sidekick to the world famous vigilante Dark Claw, Kate Greyson strikes out as a hero in her own right. Trained all her young life to use her mutant phasing abilities in conjunction with absolute peak martial arts training and detective skills Kate seeks to get out of the shadow of her mentor and his troubling reputation with the public as well as improve mutant and human relations by becoming a more heroic presence for the social media age....but will humanity let her?

Black Hulk - When young orphan Billy Banner discovers a secret 1960's era lab in the Nevada desert where the government was doing radiation experimentation on an ancient Egyptian tablet said to access the underworld in attempt to open a portal, he accidentally gains access to a sliver of the Egyptian gods power, birthing an alter ego that grants him amazing powers when he says the magic words. But at a great price as he also sets free a raging monster of the underworld a polar opposite that threatens the young hero at every turn. The Black Hulk! The cruel and sinister enforcer of the Underworld whose greed to rule the world is only matched by his rage.

I will work on this project when I am home from work, but one I have had in my mind for the past day or so is Thor combined with Aquaman.

And as a result Loki is combined with the Ocean Master.

Also, maybe Namor is combined with Black Adam?

Lots of fun stuff to imagine.

It's mildly annoying because there really aren't a lot of street-level heroes in DC, and most of those are tied to Batman.

I liked the idea of Batman and Iron Fist because I can picture a kid whose parents die and he gets whisked off to Kun Lun to be trained as a martial artist and then comes back and finds his parents' company was taken over so now he has to use his wits and skills to both fight crime and get his company back. There seemed to be a lot of ways to tie the backgrounds together.

At risk of assuredly repeating myself from last time, I would do Beast with Man-Bat instead. I feel like the scientist experimenting on themselves throughline is really strong there, and Man-Bat occasionally hangs out with that crowd already.

Also Kate Pryde should definitely go with Nightshade, who is already a shadow powers based character

The biggest challenge I had with this kind of mental project is Superman.

Marvel doesn't really have a great fit for the boy wonder.

Spider-Man works for aspects of him (growing up with an older parental unit, working in journalism in a city, the focus on the secret-identity, the overall non-violent philosophy) but their personalities aren't really compatible.

I guess I could see a combination of Superman & Spider-Man where they are the surviving child of an ancient/intergalactic spider race? They quip a lot while fighting aliens & robots?

It depends on if you go powerset or personality, frankly.

Powerset the analogue is generally with Thor given Thor's recent rise in popularity. Personality it would probably be akin to Captain America, but I would be more inclined to combine Cap with WW.

I think you could do some interesting stuff with Clark as the last son of Asgard.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Simple change, but how about hero + villain?

Superman + Magneto = The Chosen
Believes he is the second Jewish messiah who will usher in the seventh eon of peace, no matter what it takes!

Captain America + Lex Luther = Manifest
Government sanctioned super-intelligent super-soldier turned politician, who has one chance to do good... but will he?

    Batman + Kingpin = Linchpin
Billionaire arms dealer with an off the books paramilitary organisation code-named “Utility Belt” will take New Gotham City for his own, without question, but will he destroy himself in the process?

    Miles Morales + Loki = Mischief-Man
A lowkey street-smart hero who uses gadgets and tricks to defeat his foes, coupled with the power granted to him by a radioactive fire!
