So, I was just gifted a 2019 iPad 10.2", and this is really my first Apple product I've had since one of the first gen iPods over a decade ago. So very new to all things Apple! I plan on using it mainly for artwork and if possible music (synth, electronic) as I'm a budding indie game dev. So far the only accessory I have is a case with stand up backing.
I'm guessing my first purchase should be an Apple pencil and screen protector? I've read that first gen pencil is best bet since it has pressure sensitivity, although it is pricey compared to third party stylus.
Also any suggestions on drawing apps and synth music apps? In terms of drawing I'm mostly going to be doing pixel art, and would need reference layer support.
