Ok, so I had a cute Penguin named Sprinkles move into my town. She wants to be a pop-star and is kind of adorable.

Then Drago, the dragon, who says Brrrn! after everything. So he constantly seems like he is insulting me and then yelling brrrn! at me. It's making me very self conscious.

Is it not just having the full 8 squares around them clear? No trees I've planted have failed to grow and I've not worried about more than that. Could it just be odd shaped coast tiles making you think you have free space around when you don't? You could test by trying to dig all 8 tiles.

My trouble right now is I have the fashion shop and I too keep a goodly supply of crafting materials in my storage...

...and 120 is not nearly enough storage. I'm swapping things in and out constantly, I'm hanging clothes on my walls. My house looks very "lived-in" right now lol. I spent my last hour of play last night just desperately crafting excess wood into stuff to sell to the twins, just to get rid of it, terribly worried I'd be kicking myself for losing the supplies without knowing what's coming around the corner.

Probably some huge build that needs 120 hardwood.

I just use my front yard for storage and fence it off. Once I got the bamboo fence all bets were off. I fenced off the beach at the bottom, and put a flower garden around my town center.

I got like a Zen Garden fence last night. It's lovely - white stone, clay and the classic tiling on the top of it.

My zen garden is gonna' be off the hook peaceful.

I think it counts as a day each way, so forward 1 day makes events pop, then backwards will make the next events pop if you were ready for it.

You just typed hieroglyphics for all intents and purposes. That being said, my newest home loan was 500k bells. It's just hard to stomach dropping in 1/5th of my loan on a gamble. I'm just not that brave.
