Ok, so I just got captured by some cultists and lost all of my stuff. I fought my way through them and ended up outside, and then made my way to the North Plaza. Can I get my stuff back or do I have to go gather it all up again?

Yes you do. Right down to your clothing. Sorry.
Dammit. I have to gather up those books and chainsaws all over again.
Dude, probably my favorite part of this entire game is when I lost all my stuff when SWAT came in and I had to just grab whatever was in sight and fight my way out of it. It was SO awesome.
Seeing this thread made me want to pick up the game again so I started going for the zombie Genocide achievement. Sitting there running over zombies with some fast music playing is the best time ever!
So I am trying to beat Dead Rising after buying a 360 for it last August and not beating it yet.
2 questions:
1) What is the button to throw zombies off when it doesn't show the "move stick back and forth" icon?
2) Why doesn't the coffee creamer etc. show up in the security room after
isabella is shot by her bro!

Man I need a better TV so I can fucking play this game. My TV's so shitty I cant tell what ANYONE is saying unless it's in a cinematic.

2: I'm not positive, but I believe the food in the security room is related to how many survivors you've saved.

Usually it's the fat guy that makes food disappear, but I think the creamer vanishes whether you save him or not.

Actually, I think it's because
Brad gets shot, and he was the one stocking the room with food. That's why the Fat guy gets those mutiny missions to go find food.
Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.
I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.

I'm pretty sure all the food goes away on Day 2. I don't really care because the Columbian Roastmaster has infinite Orange Juice next to a blender, meaning infinite Queens as well.
I finished Day 3. I was so psyched to buy a copy of this again and I am reminded of how much I hate Dead Rising's finale. I almost burned out all over again. The new enemies are no fun. (And yes they're no match for me.)
I can't wait for the inevitable sequel to this game. I do however hope they remove timed story mode. I tried the "You can ignore the story if you want" thing and its basically just me running around for hours killing things which isn't that much fun after a while. Like I don't mind going to an area I've been in and suddenly there is a survivor under assault, but it being timed...jeez. What a pain in the ass.

What? What? What is this?
Columbian Roastmasters is the generic coffee place upstairs in Paradise Plaza, across from the sports shop where you get infinite bowling balls.
There are three pies there, however there is a generic looking refrigerated shelf. Theres nothing there, but if you move close, you can press B and grab an Orange Juice. You can do this as much as you want, just like the bowling balls or most of the food in the Supermarket.

You can use the infinite orange juices to make Nectars in the blender, which heal for more and are helpful for getting queens.
*edit* or combine a pie and an OJ in the blender for an Untouchable.

Man, I want to do the genocider achivement so much so I can earn that bonus and give infinity mode a real shot, but it's soooo boring to drive through zombies in a car for hours. After my second car broke down I gave up on getting the achivement, put the Cletus' boss music on and started face-smashing, disembowling and throwing every undead thing in sight for a good ten munites.
What did eveyone make Frank wear through the game? In my main run though (my third runthrough where I started at level 35 and got the true ending) I got Frank to wear the Capcom Wrestling Boots, Capcom Wrestling Shorts, the round shades I got from Xbox Live and then shaved his head. In my last two runthroughs it was the snakeskin suit all the way. Pure class.
EDIT: I seriously, seriously reccomend you level up pretty damn high before you tackle the main storyline. Nothing was more fun/awesome/easy that running around disembowling nearly every single enemy you come across (you know, the people that show up in the last day). Using your wrassling moves on survivors is fucking hilarious too. I make it a point to carry Jeff to his wife on the roof and throw him at her.
Shit, can someone tell me what hapenned to Frank after overtime mode? I was freaking tired when I finished the main game and decided not to put the game away until I beat overtime mode too, so by the time I beat the final boss I was pretty much in comatose and mised all that text that appeared telling you what happens to Frank.
Awesome, awesome last fight. So. Many. Zombies.... I know there was a lot in the game anyway, but that bit of the game just showcases how many there actually can be in one place. At least I finally found a legitamate use for the zombie walk skill when I had to navigate my way past them all.

As far as I remember, he is confirmed to escape, it doesn't mention Isabella its just assumed she survives I think. But I think it also mentioned something about the outbreak being unstoppable.
Thanks man. Oh god. EVERYONE needs to play this game to 'Yakety Sax'/The 'Benny Hill Theme Tune'. I started my second playthrough, turned all the subtitles and sound off aside from the music and wathed every cutscene, killed every zombiee and did absolutley everything to that glorious music for at least an hour. Then I made some quickstep and just started running circles around zombies. Best time I'v ever had with DR. I think I spent 10 munites alone just wailing on zombies during the intro to that music.

it said that the USA was forced to reveal the zombie out break because of franks pictures.
It also said that carlito's 50 kid zombie plan had yet to be proven true or false.
oh, and the rest of the surivors survived with otis by stealing a military helicopter.(but that was in a note on the desk)
oh man, using the mega buster and the laser sword is awsome. But i wish that the laser sword attacked like the sword and not the katana.

Why is Frank screaming so much, after I went through the trouble of leaving the tank and collecting like four wasps so he could save Isabella and take the car? I hate "Death by Cutscene" (Even though he survived). Hmm. There were certainly no zombies around when I beat Brock! :x
I don't know if someone made the term or not already, but "Death By Cutscene" is my name for the game cliche in which a character or characters immediately passes out, dies, becomes extremely vulnerable in a cutscene regardless of the player's performance or situation in the game contrasting the scene.

Well, maybe that's why he survives. But yeah, I thought it was lame that Frank suddenly decided that he was terrified of zombies in Overtime mode. I could easily have gone through the tunnel and cleared the zombies around the tank with just my bare hands thanks to the Double Loriat.

Don't do that! Lariat makes Frank toss the Queen Jars! XD
Isabella survives. She is added to your survivor count at the end (that's how I got my 20 survivor achievement).
And the Willamette outbreak is contained. The cutscene at the end says how eventually everyone stops talking about it. So no zombie apocalypse this time around.

Ah, but they say that Carlito's orphan plan was never proven, meaning there could still be 50 zombie bombs walking around.

I was a little confused about the wording of that. I interpreted it to mean that the government took care of the matter quietly.
Then again, Frank himself was still a carrier, so maybe the apocalypse is still on its way...
Why are we spoilering this stuff in a topic about a game thats nearly a year old?
Anyway
I can't remember and some idiot decided to remove that page from WIki but I'm pretty sure that there was mention that the orphans were still out there as there was no way to know which 50 they were. There was definetly a setup for the sequel
I'd love to see the inevitable (come on, it's Capcom) sequel have co-op, even if just over Live (since I doubt splitscreen would work out). Maybe you could start out locked up in the drunk tank in a small town, and have a zombie outbreak there. It'd be cool to have a larger area with a little more variety to wander in.

It'd be much less of a game without co-op. Unfortunately some game companies don't see that, so I'm skeptical.

Either that or "Bike" by Pink Floyd.
YES! Perfect moment occurred when that came on (I had my collection on random) just as I got on the bike.
Up there with "Smack My Bitch Up" coming on during the Isabella case.
I just need Clash' "I fought the law" to come on during the cop scoop and I think I'll have the set.

It was a rumor; came from the same shitty place as the "Next Gears of War patch will remove "ranked game" restriction from certain achievements."
