Installing 12 g CL 2 Low Voltage wire in basement ceiling. I've read it's supposed to be 12 or 18 inches away from existing lines, but anyone here know for sure?

You can run it right along side existing low voltage lines, but keep it at least a couple feet away from existing AC lines or you could pick up a ton of noise. If the speaker wire has to intersect an AC line, make sure it does so at a 90 degree angle to minimize noise. Also a good idea to check local codes. Finally, if the wiring is for 2 speakers, find a 4 conductor line so you only have to pull 1 wire instead of 2.
